Hotel Atismar receives accolades for its exceptional cleanliness, with guests consistently praising the spotless rooms and well-maintained common areas. Nestled in a coveted location, the hotel is a stone's throw from the beach and vibrant local establishments, simplifying excursions to neighboring towns. Visitors enjoy the inviting atmosphere and commend the ample-sized bathrooms, though some mention the rooms' simplicity and slightly outdated feel. The establishment is deemed good value for money; however, patrons should anticipate additional costs for certain amenities. The service stands out, thanks to the cordial and accommodating staff, despite some minor inconveniences like deposits for hairdryers.

What you see is what you get, yes it is a little dated and could do with a refurb but it is reasonably clean, staff are polite and helpful. I would say hotel is not really set up for xmas and what people expect as no entertainment available, this makes it an ideal place if you want a quiet get away from everything. If all inclusive drinks stop at 10pm but was on par with bars of you bought a drink after this time, LG beer and vodka and coke 6eur.
Food ok though much of the same each night one fish dish 2 meat dishes and almost always chips also soup and pasta choice of salad. One night lovely prawns were on offer and always kept topped up until about 30 mins before end of meal time.
No indoor pool and way to cold for outdoor pool which is small so would think in summer may be crowded.
If you have disability and need a scooter do not get from reception as the cost is ridiculous (not hotel fault must say they use external firm 30eur delivery before rental cost) go out of hotel to the left and down to sea front you will see shop on right in winter 12eur a day for scooter I think in summer was 20.
Taxi from villamoura back to hotel about 6eur or about 20-30 min stroll.
I would stay again but would be tempted to do just room only or BB.

Room was lovely with partial sea view. A good maid service was provided everyday, although towels were never changed in the 3 nights we were there. Wasnt a great deal of choice with the food, but what there was we enjoyed. Hotel in great position near the beach. Staff were all friendly. Was a good 3 star hotel and well worth what we paid. No entertainment at night and bar was very quiet, not much atmosphere, but did mean no queuing for drinks which was good.

Very basic AI hotel, food ok & found something to eat at all meal times but cold. AI drinks don't start til 11am/10pm & have to be out bar area by 11pm. All drinks are their local & if you want a decent mixer you need to pay for it, cocktails are like dishwater, Beer in a glass goes flat but in a paper cup keeps its head so must be washing detergent they're using. Rooms very basic, no safety deposit box, been taken out!! Have to ask for hairdryer. Room very damp, clothes smell when putting them on after being in wardrobe/drawers. Bathroom very damp, ceiling mouldy & looked like it was going to fall down from leak above, coving off ceiling & mirror rusted around outside, even bed felt damp. Rooms cleaned everyday with clean towels. Pool area needs a good clean & nothing like photos, pool not very inviting. One tele in bar area with either football or a bit of music on.Staff were nice. Located in a great area & Quateria is lovely. Would go back but definitely to a different hotel!! Loveholidays need to stop selling this hotel to guests until rooms are upgraded.

6 of us visited for Christmas break first impression hotel looked nice with good location check in went fine rooms vere clean and perfectly adequate but bar staff very rude when u could find one to serve you did not see one smile or nice manner the whole 7 days food was terrible chips every lunch and dinner with no choice of potatoes no cold meat or cheese for salad only lettuce and tomatoes same pork or fish every night snacks were same burger or hot dog every day with no burger bun. There was no entertainment not even background music all inclusive was ftom 11am till 10pm not a minute after the drinks were very poor. I know this is a 3 star hotel and u get what u pay for but this hotel made u feel like an inconvience bar staff speaking to each other and laughing watching people waiting to be served the only polite people were the maids who came every day and work very hard unlike other staff will definitely not return to this hotel

The first impression of this hotel is good, the exterior is neat and tidy and well decorated this impression carries on into the lobby area, unfortunatly there it stops. The lifts worked some of the time but were so small that for a family of three with luggage we had to make two journeys. When we got to the rooms only one of our two rooms had a safe and we had to pay extra for the key. there is a hard plastic sheet on the mattress that crackled every time you turn over which woke me up. The room was very damp, the metal chair was rusting, there was mould on the curtains and the plastic facing on the wardrobe carcase was peeling off. the inside of the double glazed windows were constanly running with water. The air conditioning did not work. The WiFi was only available in a small area of the lobby and the bar. There was no entertainment as shown on this site. The food is very poor quality, breakfast comprised various cold cuts, the hot buffet had eggs alternating between scrambled or fried and swimming in oil, either bacon or frankfurters again swimming in oil, tomatoes or mushrooms, there were also hard boiled eggs, cereals were also available and DIY toast which took an age to cook, the hot drink machine was programmed to dispense half a cup of coffee, chocolate or water. Lunches and dinners were indistinguishable and undistinguished, There was always a fish dish, usualy boiled with a sauce but on one day it was fried in breadcrumbs, there were two meat dishes from beef, pork and lamb which was closer to mutton than lamb, there was soup to start where they changed the label daily but not the soup, there was also a salad bar, if you wanted anything other than fruit salad or fresh fruit for desert you had to collect that at the start of your meal otherwise there was none left.. The advertised sea view is only available if you have X-ray vision to see throught the building opposite.

Overall You may have worked out that I will not be going back

Firstly, the staff all walk around like there prisoners to the hotel, a smile wouldn’t hurt. Secondly, when booking this hotel all inclusive don’t aspect nothing but cold three meals a day. Food was horrendous. If you want a can of coke/Fanta you have to pay extra.. ice creams? Pay extra. Air con didn’t work, once I went to reception to asked for it to be fixed, apparently someone come out to fix it but was broken the remaining of my holiday. No music or entertainment. When going for breakfast dinner and lunch you have 5 staff staring waiting for plates to taken away, they come and ask if you’re finished when you’re still very much eating so you feel rushed. The door to the outdoor smoking area/pool area is padlocked till 10am in the morning and your all inclusive bar (even for soft drinks) don’t open till 11am. So you have breakfast at 8am and have to wait till 11am to be able to get a drink. Staff aren’t friendly and 90% of them are rude. We then had to come out of our rooms from 12pm which apparently ment our all inclusive had then ended, so we was unable to eat or even get drinks till our transfer came at 5.45pm, to the point my brother and partner went to the snack bar around 3pm they then sent a member of staff to take the food off them to only throw the food in the bin. Bare in mind we still had nearly 3 hours for our transfer to pick us up. Poor service, you pay all that money to stay in rooms that arnt that great, tvs don’t have 1 English Channel and for your air on not to work. No music around the pool nothing. The cleaners bang and shout outside your rooms at 8pm in the morning then when asking them to be quite you get attitude. Would definitely not return!

What a disappointment. First night was disturbed by a very noisy large group of people. The breakfast was inedible; fried eggs with shell in them. No fruit except soft apples on offer. It was truly awful. We were given a picnic on the last day as we could not have breakfast due to flights leaving early which consisted of dried bread, soft apple, and a useful bottle of water. Cockroaches the size of a spoon head were in the bathroom. The room which was non smoking stunk of smoke which we could not shift. All the bedding was replaced but the room still stunk.
The staff though were very helpful despite our endless complaints.

Came on a all inclusive holiday, the staff were rude and only changed the bedding and swept the floor alittle, come to the last day we fly at 20:30 but all inclusive stopped at 12pm as did the rooms, so we were not allowed to eat or drink and had to pay for the food and drink if we had anything. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all… avoid at all cost!!!

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, We have Room 409, which has 2 balconies, one with a sea view and the other at the front of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the surrounding bars and restaurants were friendly and reasonably priced. The decor around the hotel was looking a little tired in places but was clean and tidy.

Shame there was no table service for drinks whilst eating meals. no tea and coffee in rooms and no coffee or tea available until 8am when breakfast is served, so pack a kettle and your own tea and coffee !!!

Hi, as the hotel itself does not appear to interact very much with TripAdvisor reviews, I would suggest emailing the hotel direct. They do answer emails......but not very quickly. Sorry I couldn't help any more than that.
