Positive: the location of the hotel is very good as it is literally on the beach, the swimming pool is also great, good size, clean and in good condition, the staff is also very friendly. Negative: very expensive, rooms are very small (40 cm from the end of the bed to the wall) and the decor is very dated. Bathroom, although clean, is also dated. In a for stars hotel I would expect much more than a small bar soap and shampoo. They also charge for the sunbed by the pool, in fairness they do not charge for the snubbed at the beach. Lastly they charge also to have a checkout 2 hours later, original time is also very early (10.00 am), I have visited more than 50 countries and never I have been charged to have a later checkout (by 2 hours).
My wife and I were in Jesolo the second week in September weather was warm, sunny last two days were a bit windy. We were treated to an air display Saturday and Sunday which takes place every year at this time of the year.Venice is nice to visit and easy to get to by bus then ferry tickets are bought at newsagent price when we went was 20 euros pp be aware it can be very busy.Highly recommend Hotel Cambridge
My wife and I have just returned from another wonderful holiday at the Cambridge. We have been going to Jesolo for many years. The Cambridge has the perfect location, the staff cannot do enough for you and the management are very helpful, there is a nice personal touch. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, hopefully we will return in 2020. Giovanni H
Having read some previous reviews we were unsure about booking this. However, we are very glad we did. The hotel is in an excellent location set back from the main shopping street. It is right on the beach. The pool area is really lovely and breakfast is served overlooking it. The rooms are small and a bit dated, but spotlessly clean. There is excellent air conditioning and ceiling fan to keep you cool. The windows have automatic shutters which are very effective at keeping the light out for a good sleep. We were half board and the food was fine. “Hot” breakfast could be hotter, dinner can be a little chaotic, but the food is small, but tasty and varied. Manager Claudio is extremely friendly and helpful. Some other staff are friendly, some not so much. We weren’t upset by anyone! This hotel is ideal if you want a relaxing break. There’s no atmosphere at night, but there’s a busy resort outside if you want that. Lido Di Jesolo isn’t somewhere we particularly liked, It’s a purpose built resort that’s very busy at this time of year. It is a good base from which to explore the Veneto region and that is highly recommended.…
What a lovely hotel. Excellent customer service from all the staff. The hotel has very high standards and all the staff work extremely hard to maintain these standards. The pool is great and was really warm. Hotel overlooks the beach and the sunbeds on the beach are free for hotel guests. There is a small charge for sunbeds by the pool. The hotel also provided a gluten free diet for one of the party. We would definitely stay again.
