After arriving into Venice at midnight to find our original accommodation provider had let us down we suddenly found ourselves scrambling with a three year old to find a place to stay at 1am on a Saturday night... A quick search found Gallia and we trundled in the door as a family of four not knowing what to expect. We were welcomed so incredibly warmly and looked after so well it was such a relief. Unfortunately in my exhausted state I did not get the name of the gentleman who took us in so kindly and looked after us, but he was Romanian and working the graveyard shift. He showed us to our room, brought us some boiling water and ice and just told us to relax we could settle the bill and sort everything the next day. If you are reading this thank you so much for the amazing service we truly appreciated it! The family room while fairly basic was spacious, quiet and exactly what we needed and we were all asleep within minutes. When we awoke we were incredibly surprised to see the stunning gardens and pools of the property, and the beach beyond. The facilities are gorgeous. All in all this one is a hidden gem. Beautiful grounds and incredible service. Cannot recommend enough.

We have just returned from a 6 day holiday staying at Hotel Gallia. The weather, whilst we were there, was apparently the worst seen in May for over 150 years. Rain rain and rain. With two kids (ages 11 and 8) the prospect of a week cooped up indoors on holiday was unappealing to say the least. However, the staff at Hotel Gallia showed a shining example of how customer service should be delivered. I want to give you some examples; 1) finding days out from the hotel with indoor entertainment 2) researching restaurants, bus timetables, taxi fares and suggesting things suitable for the kids 3) rigging the tv in the hotel lounge up to their own personal mobile hotspots so we could watch a movie on Netflix 4) making individual lunches for our two children, taking into account a very fussy eater, on the rainiest day 5) giving every hotel guest an umbrella or two to get around the facility We were really blown away by the first class care we received. Big thank yous in particular to Denise and Jorge. Aside from all of this the hotel is stunning, the rooms are spacious, the complex is clean, the beach is full of shells and spotless sands. The food in the hotel restaurant is nothing less than superb! The only things I would like to see at the hotel would be a cash machine or a facility to get cash from reception, and a couple of English speaking channels on the TV (which you’ll only need if it rains!)

We stayed at Gallia in July of this year with our 2 year old. It was fantastic - food, location and room. The highlight for us though was the staff. They really made us feel at home, and our daughter felt incredibly comfortable there. Would highly recommend it, and we will back again for another 2 weeks!

We had a sort of appartment, with separate shower and terrace. The app was cleaned everyday sometimes twice a day. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was excellent. Free parking spot. Lovely people and nice swimming pool.

Very quiet and relaxing hotel, staff are lovely and food is suburb but it’s out of the way. There are a few other hotels around but not really any shops or bars to speak of. There are around 3 restaurants but they were all closed in September when we were there as the season here ends around the 23rd September. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and buses are regular to go into the town where there is a lot more life. Even the bar in the hotel is nothing to speak of, rarely anyone serving or indeed anyone drinking so not somewhere you’d like to sit for a drink. We love it here but will go into the town next time as this hotel is just a bit too quiet for us. I can highly recommend it if you are looking for a truly relaxing getaway and like to be in bed by 9.30
