We absolutely loved our stay at Palazzo Majo, a beautiful villa with amazing views and stylish modern decor (and huge bathrooms). It's situated in a charming village with a great and affordable restaurant, L'Archibugio a short walk away. Mario is a great host and having him cook dinner is a must.

Just spent 10 days at Palazzo Majo - lived up to all expectations and we had a great time. Lots of space as well as privacy when needed. Mario was great with lots of suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants and general information. The local restaurant - L'Archibuggio - is excellent.

In a small Italian village, amidst the rolling Umbrian hills, where the house happens to be a restored town hall..from the moment I rang the bell and Mario opened the door to greet me I felt right at home. My husband and I had been travelling for more than two weeks already and although we stayed in some very nice...

Read all the previous flattering reviews - they are all 100% true. One tiny thing (and I did tell Mario before we left) the wireless needs to work on the ground floor. There were 9 of us and we rattled around - it's huge. It's beautiful. And the restaurant in strolling distance (ask Mario) was great value and delicious. See...

A week at Palazzo Majo just seemed to fly by. On the odd day not spent lounging/reading by the pool, sitting in the garden, or just enjoying the beautiful village it is situated in we enjoyed the surrounding towns and villages, Joe and Mario,s local knowledge is boundless, they seem to know every pizzeria/ restaurant worth visiting within 30 miles;...

...but that's probably just to ward off the irritable ones, because this place is just too perfect. If you're truly looking for some quiet time situated in purely Italian countryside, this is it. The charming brother owners Joe and Mars certainly made me feel more than welcome when I arrived, and kept that up throughout my stay. The food was...

What a great place to be, Palazzo Majo in Umbria Italy. The owners/brothers Joe and Mario turned out to be great company (and private cooks too), knowing lots about the area, places to see, restaurants to eat, etc. We stayed at Palazzo Majo for a full week in june 2013, still memorizing every minute. Seeing many villages / parts of...

We feel exceptionally lucky to have been recommended to stay at palazzo majo. Having looked at the website we were really excited about our visit however the photo's really don't show just how beautiful the house and rooms are - let alone the spectactular views across the surrounding hills in the peaceful hamlet of Lugnano. The interior design is superb...

We have just spent 6 fabulous days at Palazzo Majo, which unfortunately ended all too soon. Given that this was at the beginning of October, we were surprised that the temperature was a very warm 28 degrees centigrade throughout. Definitely warm enough for a swim in the pool. This was our fourth visit, so we knew what to expect, and...
