Villa Bordoni is a sophisticated country house hotel, nestled in the grey-green hills immediately above the town of Greve, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. This 16th-century noble villa commands an extraordinary vantage point over the unspoiled Chianti hills and their biblical landscape of vineyards, terraced olive groves and forest. The hotel is surround by vast, beautiful gardens, and offers a pool - open from March to October. The in-house restaurant offers lunch and dinner daily, proposing only the very best of Italian and Tuscan cuisine, as well as hands-on cooking classes. All in all, it is a boutique and luxurious, yet relaxed retreat that we hope contributes to help our guests create lasting memories of a great stay in the heart of Tuscany.

Unparalleled boutique luxury villa in the Chianti countryside. This small villa, with formal and informal gardens and swimming pool, is enveloped by beautiful vine laden hills. The villa provides delicious food and wonderful wines, especially Tentuta di Monte-Ficali Chianti Classico Reserva from their own vineyard. The staff and owners are charming and warm. Equally charming, and highly recommended, is the Limonaia garden cottage offering private seclusion with it’s logia overlooking a hidden garden... truly a Tuscan “room with a view”!

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I enjoyed 3 blissful nights at Villa Bordoni, staying in the montefioralle room. It is by far one of favorite hotels - for the beauty of the villa, the gorgeous view and the first class service. The staff was incredible, and the food and wine at the restaurant was fantastic. Ricardo who managed the Villa during our stay was especially helpful and made our time at Villa Bordoni extra special. We look forward to our return to Italy and Villa Bordoni!

Dear hh752, thank you so, so much for your lovely words on your stay with us. They are even more meaningful in the difficult times that we are going through, and frankly made our day at Villa Bordoni! We are so glad that you were able to experience our small hotel and the Chianti Classico area before the current situation prevented everyone from travelling, and we hope that you took home with you wonderful memories of your time in Tuscany. At some point, hopefully not too distant in time, we will all be able to travel again, and we really look forward to having you back with us then! Thank you! :)

Great views over Tuscany. The room was lovely and the lounge was well stocked with books to pick up and browse or read. The cookery course was exceptional-we made Foccacia, bruschetta, pork stew, fresh pasta, a chicken balsamic dish and tiramisu, all of which was served to us next to an open log fire by the chef after our prep. It was delicious! Do watchout for the road to the hotel; it was very bobbly, with unpaved sections; any sports car would be highly unlikely to make it down the road.

My girlfriend and I have just returned after a fabulous trip to Villa Bordoni, where we stayed for 2 nights. The location was absolutely perfect with the beautiful village of Montefioralle within walking distance and Florence, Siena and Pisa all around 1 hour away by car. Catherine the owner was always on hand and incredibly helpful with recommendations and local knowledge and Hugo in the restaurant / bar couldn’t have been more pleasant. The hotel itself was picture perfect with an amazing pool and has views across the Tuscan valleys and vineyards. They have a great breakfast on offer and have adapted well to Covid-19 rules- all staff wear masks and our room was immaculate. We’d highly recommend staying here to all!

We had a brilliant three days at Villa Bordoni and particularly enjoyed our time sitting in the cabanas by their beautiful pool, with amazing views of the hills beyond. The hotel itself is lovely and very comfortable. Staff and the owners were incredibly welcoming and charming - particularly Ugo who was always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was very good, and we had a tasty meal at the restaurant one night too. The villa had lots of Covid-19 precautions in place to make guests feel safe at all times, yet at the same time not overly imposed upon. It’s a bit of a bumpy drive up from Greve in Chianti up a single lane gravel track, but we never had too much trouble and ventured out and about lots. Would definitely return!
