This typical stone-built Tuscan farmhouse, completely renovated, is only 5 km from the town of Greve in Chianti and is the perfect base for anyone who wishes to visit the great art cities of Tuscany and the medieval villages of Chianti, or for those who prefer walking or excursions on mountain bikes, or for those who want to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the countryside. On the first floor of the house there are 6 bedrooms with bathroom, each one finely furnished with great attention to every detail. The splendid ceilings with wood beams and terracotta tiles, the windows which offer beautiful views of the garden, the vines and the hills make this house special. There is a large dining room with a fireplace where we serve breakfast. There is also a kitchen for the use of the guests of the B&B.Le Cetinelle’s position is indeed special, on a hill-top away from the crowds, 620m above sea-level. Our guests can relax in the lovely flower garden which surrounds the house, where tables, chairs and hammocks are at the disposal of all the guests. The saltwater pool has spectacular views over the vines, the olive groves, the hills and as far as Florence itself, particularly beautiful at sunset. Guests can sample the farm’s products – wine and olive oil.

We have had a truly enjoyable stay.. The house and garden and swimming pool are absolutely beautiful and well kept. Breakfast was ample and some of the food was homemade, like jam and yogurt. The symbol of the roosters (Gallo Nero, Black Rooster), symbol of the wines of Chianti, is a theme that have been employed and it creates an aura of rustic charm and grace. The warm hospitality is truly the final word. Simona and Luca make their own excellent wine and olive oil. If we are ever so lucky to be in Tuscany again, we would definitely visit La Centinelle again.

Perfect place to get relaxed in the middle if Chianti. Simonetta and Luca were helpful and welcoming with us. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed breakfast with the wine yard view. Perfect location to explore Chianti (cycling, horse riding and wine tasting). Recommended!

My husband and I spent 2 wonderful nights here. A beautiful Tuscan farmhouse with vineyards and olive groves! Although this place is a little remote, it is worth the drive up the winding road. Our host Luca was very hospitable, provided a typical Tuscan breakfast, great restaurant recommendations and helpful sightseeing suggestions. Regretfully we weren’t able to meet his wife, as she had a family emergency to attend to. Perhaps next time, since we would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Cetinelle. The location is utterly picturesque, views from the terrace are unreal, wine was excellent, rooms were cosy and comfortable and breakfasts were varied and plentiful. The farm has been renovated in typical Tuscan style and is beautiful. Simonetta was incredibly welcoming and very helpful with recommendations, booking restaurants and telling us about the area. She welcomed guests into her home on the final night for dinner cooked by the cooking class, which was lovely. We didn’t want to leave. The B&B is 15 min drive from Greve, the roads are fine, just dirt roads, you definitely don’t need a 4x4.

It's many years since we last visited Le Cetinelle and we were delighted to find that nothing has changed! We received a very warm reception from Simonetta who always does as much as she can to make sure her guests are happy. We had a room in "the tower" which was charming. The house is very old and facilities are simple but comfortable and beautifully cared for. The views from the garden are stunning and you are surrounded by vines and wild countryside - so much so that there is a gate to keep the wild boars out at night! Simonetta allows guests to prepare simple food in the kitchen and it is lovely to prepare something to eat in the garden. The pool is large and very well maintained, we often had it to ourselves.

stayed a few days here in early July... ,magnificent... Simonetta wonderful host.. didnt see much of Luca as he was busy in the vineyards and groves... Simonetta very welcoming with loads of info on local cellar doors and restaurants.. actual establishment was superb.. the rooms are wondrous, a little dimly lit but that's a minor inconvenience..breakfast is loaded with local farm fare and you can pile all manner of goodies on a tray and take your bootie downstairs and out to one of the many table settings overlooking the valley and fields. The pool is a huge bonus when we had 40C temps and the views from the pool are awesome, as are the sunsets... really this property is hard to fault... just spot on in every way...I can not think of a single blemish .. the access road from Greve has been said in reviews to be an issue BUT it is 15 min drive, a steady climb on standard gravel .. we had a small car and the road was no problem .. just take it easy on the first run or at night ... Highly recommended for views, friendly staff, good breakfast and great appointments like pool.

My husband and I spent a part of our honeymoon here and we were so sad when we left. Can’t wait to come back next year and spent the whole vacation here. This is an amazing place with such a great energy. The house is great, nature is so peaceful, clean and beautiful. Breakfast was really delicious. And the best part and mrs Simonetta and mr Luca that made us feel like we are at home. You can feel and see their dedication to this job and people that come there. Can’t wait to come back here!

A 5 rating is not high enough, it deserves a 10. From the moment we arrived Simo and Lucca made us feel like family. The grounds and rooms were impeccable, so much old world charm. The cooking class was fun and I now know how to make fresh pasta. Very good home produced wine and olive oil. Highly recommend.

We only stayed for three nights but wish that it had been longer. After spending the previous few days exploring Bologna and Florence we wanted somewhere that we could just relax and explore the countryside, this provided just that. From the welcome we received upon our arrival to our traditional home cooked Italian meal on our last evening, we could not find a single thing to fault. Simonetta goes above and beyond for her guests! Make sure that you try the wine from their vineyard.
