We were married last week at villa le piazzole and needed a villa for the preceding week that was close enough to the city for us to pop back and forth. We hired casa villa exclusively. This was perfect for us as we were able to use the villa as one but it being divided into 4 apartments gave each...

We passed by Torre a Cona during a rainy day and it was really nice. The wine shop is good and the tasting easy and relaxed. Their Red ITP was great and close to a good Brunello. We had limited space in our luggage and took just the olive oil which was really nice and we regret of not having...

We went there on a beautiful Sunday morning. The place is surrounded by vineyard and olive fields. The wine, mostly red, are authentic and reserve is particularly good. Vin santo, their sweet wine is also wonderful. I recommend the tour of the place (call in advance to book because they have a fixed starting time), so that you see where...

Our group of about 10 reserved a wine tasting and dinner. We had a tour of the wine production seeing the barrels aging in the cool dark cave and a wine tasting dinner with a white and two reds (chianti reserva and merlot). From beginning to end the experience was relaxed, friendly, comfortable and delicious. It was the second time...

Torre a Cona was a wonderful place to stay. Fonte Lecceta where we stayed was exactly what it looked like online. Rural setting with tasteful appointments, fully functional kitchen and wonderful views. Having a glass of their wine with cheese and their olive oil sitting outside gazing over the Tuscan countryside was one of the most memorable times of our...

The accommodations and service were excellent at Torre A Cona. It was just a short drive to many of the small medieval walled cities. Beautiful views of the vineyard and countryside. This our second time staying at Torre A Cona and would do so again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On a hilltop in the heart of the Florentine hills, 10 km only from Florence, Torre a Cona has a stunning view over the surrounding countryside. The estate offers lovely rural houses and apartments (from 2 to 14 persons) recently renovated, next to a 17th century Villa in a green and quiet countryside. They have been carefully restored keeping their special farmhouse character and have been tastefully furnished in Tuscan rustic style; there are beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. They all have well equipped kitchens, dishwashers, washing machines, color TV, kitchen ware and linens. Each of them has a private outdoor shaded sitting area with garden furniture and barbecue. The swimming pool (mt 9x8) has been built in a historic site next to a 17th century tower and is open from May to September. ... more   less
