Agriturismo Salemi is, as its name suggests, a farmhouse renovated as an upcountry small hotel. It is located a few miles from Piazza Armerina and the world famous Villa Romana, an ancient Roman villa with stunning mosaics, which after more than 2000 years, still takes your breath away. The Baglio ( Sicilian farmhouse) has modern and clean bedrooms and bathrooms,...

Nice location. Off, off, off the beaten track but still easy to find. Nicely done rooms (although you can talk to your neighbours through the wall). Well kept area, big, clean pool. The whole place is very nice and clean. Breakfast is sumptuous. Coffee and juices (nectars) leave room for improvement. WiFi connection is very good. Dinner served in the...

Had a very nice 4 day stay here. A very relaxing atmosphere out in the hills. Very quiet, lots of stars at night. Rustic, not luxury, but very pleasant. Getting there involved some very basic and dilapidated roads, but I guess that's Sicily. Stayed in room 11 - 2 adults, two children (8 & 5). Two adjoining rooms (twin beds...

Gracious hospitality is an understatement at Agriturismo Salemi. I stayed here in the past, and I was so delighted by my experience that I brought a group of 16 college students on an archaeological study abroad experience through Sicily. They too were immediately enchanted as we sat at the pool watching the sun set over the olive groves. This is...

Thanks to TA, we found this place while looking for a place for our group of 10 to stay after touring Villa Casale. The hotel is family-owned (the aging father would like to sell it because his children have no interest in continuing to operate it). The rooms are lovely and the wifi is about the best we encountered in...

We arrived late for lunch, but the owner offered us some "fastfood". We recieved cheese, cured ham, bread, olive oil, tomatoes and eggs, for free! That what I call service. The diner was rustic but nice, what you can expect on a farm. Grandpa is eating alone at a table overseeing the restaurant, drinking his wine and sees that is all...

Off the beaten track peaceful Agriturismo. Rooms rather basic but a lovely pool area and a peaceful feel throughout. A really enjoyable dinner too - worth booking in advance as it's a fair drive back to town.

I guess that the area around Piazza Aremrina does not provide too much choice of so called 'very good' laces to stay. We found Salemi via the site charming Sicily . The lace is run by a family and comprises a renovated convent (cannot distinguish from newly built) and an adjacent structure which serves as restaurant / kitchen. We loved...

This Agriturismo is located a few miles down a winding road and so is very peaceful and rural. We had a first floor foo with small balcony overlooking the rolling hills, quiet and super views. Dinner every night was delicious with excellent wine at a ridiculously low price. Breakfast even better, wonderful array of fruit, pastries, fresh ricotta, local cheeses...

Happy we only stayed overnight. We knew the pool was not heated which is such a shame because otherwise it is quite lovely - but unfortunately in September meant it was fffffreezing! Also we were disappointed that there was no real tour/explanation of the facilities/common areas of the house or the lovely countryside in which the house is located. Feels...
