I recently came to Villa Valentina on a family visit to the area for a two night stay. I was excited to check out this place in person after looking so much online and I was even more delighted when we got there. Levanto is...More
A hidden gem in Levanto which was a wonderful jumping off point for Cinque Terre hiking, swimming and dining. Paula was a lovely hostess and her family and staff met our every need. The rooms were absolutely lovely with every amenity. The breakfasts were homemade...More

As the other people mention, the beach is a cab ride away. Please note though that the beach is stone and not sand. The stones hurt your feet, so water shoes or something on your feet will be required.

The Villa is on the outskirts of Levanto, a few minutes driving to the train station and less than 10 minutes to the coast or a 1/2 hr. walk/15 minute bike ride. There is lots of parking along the beach and a fair amount of parking at the train station so we never felt like it was an inconvenience to jump in the car for the short drive. Unfortunately there is no view of the sea from the Villa, but that didn't bother us as we found Levanto to be such an excellent base to drive to and then visit Cinque Terre from there by train.
