Detailed Reviews
Recently we had the pleasure of spending some time at Casa Nicola in Popiglio. The apartment was spacious and the kitchen was a cook's dream. A beautiful space!
We cannot begin to describe the vistas from our terrace. It was truly like stepping back in time. Absolutely breathtaking!
This was a great location in which we were surrounded by nature but only a short 45 minute drive to cities like Lucca and Pistoia.
We will return and are going to tell our friends who love to ski, that Abetone is less than 20 minutes!
What a find!!!!

Very nice hotel 10 minutes from Sant'Angelo. We spent a really great week here. Note of merit goes to the availability, friendliness, friendliness and professionalism of Marisa, Crescenzo and Gaetano. Beautiful people, nice and who all put themselves into work. Spectacular and quality food. Not to mention the desserts made by her granddaughter, simply delicious. The cleanliness of the rooms is excellent and also the cleaning staff very polite and kind. What about it? Holiday to repeat

The couple that runs the place are great. Always all smiles. The hot spring pool is perfect and you can have snacks and a beer or glass of wine by the pool. However the hotel is not really in S Angelo it is about a 20 min walk to town which you will need to do if you want anything since this little place offers nothong. Can't even buy water. That said lots of nice swimming options for free on the way to S Angelo or even in town from the rocks. Avoid the beaches if you don't want to be crammed in with eveyone and have to pay ridiculous amounts for a chair and umbrella which you will need as not much for shade around here. The mini markets in town can make you a fresh sandwich far better than the restaurants.

Don't believe the pictures you see...they are deceiving!! Oh how do I start?! Everything was bad about this little hotel! I read the info and amenities the hotel offers and I thought it has AC but it's extra 7 euro a day. How ridiculous!!! It's summertime and it's hot in that little room! I decided not to pay extra for the AC and just opened the windows to get some fresh air so I could get sleep but bad mistake there were lots of mosquitoes. On top of this the bed is so uncomfortably hard I didn't get a good night sleep at all! I asked for double bed but they put the 2 twin size beds together. Problems in the bathroom: small showers room, I'm a small person and I had a hard time using it; the shower head does not work. Raggedy old tired bath towels to add to it!! To top it all off the inclusive breakfast is nasty!! Croissants are not freshly baked but the ones wrapped in a plastic. No fruits at all but instead they have cherry tomatoes for breakfast. They got milk, juice, water, coffee and cappuccino though...the only plus. Don't stay here and find yourself a decent one. I will not recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this property for the first time and what about , our stay was five star.
The Hotel is run by three brothers who take care of everything and make the stay pleasant, relaxed and very familiar. The room was clean and with all comforts, and we opted for Half Pension, great breakfast with a wide choice and for dinner tasty dishes prepared by Marisa. In addition , Crescenzo and Gaetano take care of the breakfast room and the evening dinner , and make these moments , thanks to their sympathy and friendliness very pleasant . If you are looking for a quiet, family-run and value for money place, this is the place to be, we will definitely come back.

Siamo stati benissimo! We have been coming to Ischia for years and probably, this is the hotel with the best quality / price of all.
It is a 2 star but the rooms are identical to the 3 stars where we stayed. Every day you can choose whatever you want for breakfast and dinner is always delicious and fresh fish.
The environment is super familiar and comfortable.
The only flaw, the indoor pool was under maintenance but this did not particularly weigh on me in putting the same 5 stars.
We felt at home.
A special hug to Marisa who pampered us very much, especially to my daughter Giulia!
Torneremo sicuramente!

I have just reconfirmed our stay for this year too. Third consecutive year and we are not those who return to the same places. Every time summer approaches our thoughts return to Hotel Casa Nicola and the area in which it is located. The green of the plants, the food, the breathtaking landscapes and the warm and familiar welcome of Marisa, Gaetano, Crescenzo and their entire family. The food is delicious and plentiful, the breakfast rich and varied. The rooms are simple but spotless. The indoor thermal pool is a real gem while the outdoor pool with the small garden full of flowers and tropical plants is an oasis of peace for afternoons when you don't feel like going back to the sea or when the weather is uncertain. The nearby beach is small but it is the most beautiful on the island in my opinion. The hamlet has a small grocery store, a bar and a pizza restaurant. Excellent location with public transport but also on foot to get to Sant'Angelo or Panza and to get around the whole island. What can I say now we can't help but go back!!

A quiet place, very close to Sant'Angelo, with good communication and, above all, with an extremely welcoming family, the owner of the hotel. They offer breakfast and you can order dinner, which is of very good quality.

Super holiday
We returned for the second year to Casa Nicola where the welcome and hospitality of Marisa, Enzo and Gaetano make you feel at home, if we combine this with the excellent cuisine and attention to the guest the holiday in this corner of paradise becomes unforgettable.
