Spent 4 wonderful nights in Ischia Porto at the Aragona Palace with 2 friends. You couldn’t get a better location in Porto, right on the water and next to a row of fantastic bars and restaurants. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much bother. Rooms were spacious and clean with beautiful sea views from the balconies. Rooftop pool and solarium were lovely. My friend enjoyed her treatment in the spa. Great caffe doppio at breakfast and a good selection of breakfast foods. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The hotel is well-located on the harbour with easy access to ferries and local buses around the island. It is a five minute walk from where the ferry docks. The harbour area has lots of restaurants and the main shopping street is just around the corner. The hotel has a rooftop pool with view of the harbour and an indoor pool for rainy days. Staff were welcoming and friendly. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean. However, we had a room at the front of the property, which was VERY noisy at night. The air-con in our room did not work / was switched off, so we opened the balcony doors to let in air. Big mistake: the harbour is constantly busy, with vans, porters and people congregating late into the night and early morning. It was loud, so we didn't get much sleep during our stay. The hotel looks dated. Someone once spent a lot of money making this hotel look quite tacky. Blue everything. Monogrammed everything. But it felt old fashioned and in need of investment to modernise it. The rooftop solarium was also quite untidy and not well-kept. Breakfast choices were limited. There is a hot breakfast option but it's not made clear and you have to ask for it. If I visit Ischia again I will stay somewhere else.…

I initially only booked a 3 night stay for my wife and I at the Aragona Palace Hotel via British Airways Holidays, but my wife convinced me to extend it to a week which I am so glad I did, it was brilliant, especially in the current circumstances. The hotel itself is on Ischia Island which is an hour off the coast from Naples and is tucked away in the corner of Ischia Porto with numerous bars and restaurants minutes away on foot. We had a lovely deluxe room on the 4th floor which had its own patio with sunbeds and table and chairs with a view over the port and some of the super yachts docked there. Air conditioning was great as was the wi-fi and the fridge kept some beer and water cooled so we could have a drink on the patio before venturing out. I want to mention the staff were great, in particular Luigi and Carmen. Luigi sorted out our return transfer from Naples airport to the hotel which included shuttle buses and ferry's and it was done with military precision. Also Carmen was very helpful with information about the hotel, the area and tours and she booked us on a boat trip around Ischia Island which was fantastic. I cannot recommend this hotel and its great staff enough, it was a perfect week away.…
Friendly, helpful reception staff members! Receptionist Karmen was amazing! Very good service! Great service at the restaurant. Big thanks to Manola! Other staff members were very helpful too! Would definitely recommend and planning to go back again! Great location. Few minutes walking from the port. 5 minutes walk from the beach. Spa was very nice. Clean rooms. Food was very good! Everything was fresh made on the day. Beautiful view to the port from the balcony. We booked 3 rooms for a big family and it was great we could stay on the same floor. Rooftop pool was clean and quiet wit beautiful view. There was a bar as well which was very handy. Could spend days in the hotel without going out it was super comfortable!
We've had such a wonderful holiday at this hotel. We booked with Fleetway Travel and booking, transfers, hotel, staff and food have all been fantastic. The staff at the hotel and the cleanliness of the hotel are first class, everyone so helpful and friendly. Food lovely, breakfast a bit monotonous but all lovely and fresh and served with a smile each day by the very hard working staff. Ischia is beautiful and we could not have wished for more. Thankyou.
What a great hotel lovely staff lovely location lovely island My son Craig loved Manuella and all the staff receptionists cleaner and magic maintenance man !!! Would highly recommend for all Nothing too much trouble
Hotel is right on the side of the port with lovely views and what seems to be an idyllic setting. However, Ischia is a working port with regular large ferries entering and leaving from dawn until dusk. Added to this is the fact that people congregate outside the hotel in the wee hours of the morning and the noise is unbearable. Then there is the hotel bar which on occasions plays music so loudly the lyrics of the songs could be heard in our room on the second floor at nearly 2am!! Reception staff and night porter did not assist when we complained which left us feeling frustrated and very tired several nights of our 10 night stay. The walls of the rooms are very thin meaning you can hear the tv in other rooms and lights being switched on and off. The hotel doesn’t deserve a 4 star status. It appeared a bit tired, the steam room in the spa didn’t work and the food was a little ‘the same’ after 10 days. Having said that, it was spotlessly clean and the restaurant staff were lovely. It’s just such a shame the hotel isn’t better sound proofed. Ischia is a fabulous little island and we completely fell in love with it. But sadly the hotel didn’t come up to scratch and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you were hard of hearing or don’t mind being kept awake until the early hours (0530 one night).…
Wonderful island, very peaceful, beautiful in fact, with lovely people, however this is definitely not the hotel for anyone who likes to sleet between 2am and 5am. The local youngsters congregate around the port, outside the Hotel Aragona and shout, and scream for hours. No idea why they are out at this time but it’s a regular thing, not just weekends. The hotel say they have called the police but they are not interested. You would have thought that an island which relies on tourism for survival would have strict laws and would act. Apparently not. Will miss Ischia, but not between 2and 5am ☹️
We are currently staying at the aragona palace hotel in room 201 for our 30th anniversary, the hotel is spotless, all the staff are so welcoming & accommodating, from the receptionists, waitresses to the efficient 'magic' maintenance man, it is in an ideal position for the harbour, shops, and beach within a 5min walk, they also have an arrangement with one of the beachfronts friendliest restaurant where you get free sunbeds. The menu has a varied choice of Italian dishes, which you pre order at breakfast, and fruit & pastries are plentiful at breakfast lunch and dinner. A day at the Poseidon gardens thermal pools is a must, with pools from 15'-40'. we would highly recommend this hotel and the most beautiful island of ischia,
