It’s a horrible, horrible place! No one speaks English, paid entrance to pools and sea (there is no information about it in website), Wi-Fi doesn’t work at all, food and drinks are pretty bad, shower barely works and many more. I mean, this hotel isn’t cheap, it has 3 stars, but it is also huge disappointment. Unfortunately, we’ve already paid for the whole time, so we have to stay

Greedy people! Thats the definition! Bugs big as my finger in the room! 5 randall cats fighting every night! So you have to close all doors! Mosquitoes everywhere. Breakfast is dangerous with the sweating chefs and a black prosciutto. Really? Without using the thermal whatever I had to pay for it! I do speak Italian and never complained. Doesn't worth it! I was so dissapointed that I will never return! Lost money! 365 euro for 3 nights. Cats and bugs and mosquitoes big time! Never again! The only nice thing was the Castillo view.

for me a vacation is easily made good, but for this hotel i sadly could not say they helped much. at arrival we where greeted by a nice man who greeted us nicely and showed us around the hotel in his best english (which can use some work, but he's getting there). but when we looked in the room we noticed it was still dirty. the floor was full of long black hair (not ours) and even someone's nail. the bathroom was dirty (especially the toilet with a huge yellow streak in it) cabinets and a chandelier which have barely (or maybe even never) dusted off. MOSQUITOS EVERYWHERE!. 4 pieces of handsoap but only 3 small bags of shower soap a day that you also had to use as shampoo (for 2 people that go in a thermal bath every day that is clearly not enough). 2 dirty little mats on the sides of the bed. so with a short talk with the front desk he send someone to clean it again.... at return, after they cleaned, only the hairs on the floor where gone the rest was still dirty.... we let it be, hoping the next day they would do a bit more thorough clean and went to dinner, which we discovered was everything either swimming in oil or stuffed with garlic (or both), this was every day like this (we had half pension) and it all tasted either old or frozen. then there is more, to sum it up short: -the breakfast food was old and dry -the breakfast and dinnertimes are ridiculous (breakfast from 8.00 to 9.30 and dinner from 20.00 to 21.30) -the thermal baths seemed dirty and full of rust (i have never been in a thermal bath where i couldn't see my feet anymore) -the owners seemed verry unprofessional -the overal look seems like it is someones house more than a hotel -the beds and pillows where extremely hard -the stairs to the private beach where old and dangerous to walk on -the drinks where overpriced -the dinner food is either frozen or old then here come the good parts: -the view is nice -you can easily walk to ischia ponte -there is a bus stop in front of the hotel (with a bus that stops every 30 minutes) overall the beach is nice and Ischia ponte is nice, but the hotel is unprofessional and definatly not worth what we paid for.

The hotel has a wonderful position overlooking Castello Aragonesse across the bay but sadly the hotel is fairly run down with a distinctly 1970s feeling. The owners speak very little English which is not a criticism but they come across as unfriendly(which is). There is no ambience in the hotel itself, food is at best average. The thermal pools are pleasant enough with an interesting steep path down to their private beach/deck. Staff do their best and rooms are very clean. We ordered a taxi through the receptionist(who spoke a little English) to collect us to ensure we made the first ferry back to the mainland but it did not turn up and there was no-one around at 0550 to help....We scrambled on a bus and just made it. No return planned...

We chose this hotel because of its great location and views over the Cartaromana bay. However, the hotel is much more than that. We were overwhelmed by the warmth of the welcome and the friendliness of the staff. We were on half board and the dinners were excellent. The hotel is a little quaint and the accommodation is spread between the main building and an annex higher up the hill. The annex is reached by an elevator plus a short walk up some steps. Clearly, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with a physical disability or for young children. However, if you like a room with a view, this is for you! The view from our room's balcony was breathtaking and stunning! Both our room and its bathroom were small by comparison with more modern hotels but there was everything that we needed. However, if a lot of space matters to you, this is not the hotel that you seek. We only used the room for sleeping and showering and it fully served our needs. Breakfast and dinner were served to us by Marinella and Veronica. Both had excellent customer service attitudes. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. Breakfast was mostly a "help yourself" buffet but coffee was prepared and served by the waitresses. Capuccino was excellent and espresso was everything that you would expect from a hotel in Campania. Dinner was three courses with a choice from four items each for starters and mains every day. Pasta dishes were varied and interesting and the seafood risotto had all the flavours of the sea that you would hope it to have. Mains were either meat or fish with a separate vegetarian option that we tried once. We were never once disappointed. Choice of dessert was usually between fresh fruit or gelato (ice cream). Always good whichever you chose. The gardens are the hotel's other great asset. There is a series of thermal baths filled with salt water. There is a lot of outside space for taking the sun after sampling the thermal waters. In addition, there is direct access to the sea down a stepped path. There is a small beach and a significant number of sunbeds. The sea is clean and crystal clear. There used to be a swimming pool but it is now out of commission Finally, I should mention the beauty centre and spa. My wfe used it and was very impressed. The price was very reasonable, too. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or to return to it. The only reason why I deducted one star is because it is not suitable for everyone. If it matches your tastes, it has everything and is worth five stars.
