Good location for the port, beaches and the old town. Friendly staff. Room was spotlessly clean. Patio was very private and nice to have. Excellent breakfast buffet with savouries, pastries and fruit and outside tables
I’ve stayed here a number of times and this year had friends from America visiting Ischia with me. I had really promoted this hotel. However whilst our stay was okay it was not as it had been in previous years. As all the staff were new to me I’m wondering if it has new owners? The breakfast was disappointing. Again it’s changed compared to previous stays. We paid more for sea view rooms with large terraces. However rooms weren’t that big, air con did not work nor the fridge. I’m not sure it was worth the extra €’s. Location is still fabulous and it is very clean. I would stay again but sadly think I may try somewhere else next time.
Hotel is spotlessly clean and staff are lovely. We booked a basement room to keep costs down which in hindsight was a great idea because it was dark in the mornings with no daylight waking us and really cool because it was very hot outside! We had a really nice stay here the staff were really nice friendly and helpful the housekeeping staff were also brilliant! Breakfast was nice - basic but nice and fresh and the coffee was lovely. Sat on the terrace eating breakfast with a wonderful view - what more do you need.
Booked 10 months in advance and specifically asked for a sea view room. When we arrived we were escorted to a basement room. The room was small with very small wardrobes. Lack of space for our two cases and no tea making facilities. The room was very hot and when we opened up the patio doors we were in total shock. We had no view of the sea or garden and was totally enclosed by three high walls with no shade. It was like a dungeon. Immediately asked for an upgrade but was told there were no available rooms. My wife and I were not prepared to stay in this room and informed the front desk that we would be checking out the next morning, only to be told we would still have to pay for the week. I spent two hours talking to various Expedia agents who tried to resolve the situation for us. After lots of discussions with the hotel and booking agency Rivamare finally conceded that we could leave the next morning and pay for one night stay. This was a terrible experience and it ruined the beginning of our holiday, fortunately, I managed to book a sea room next door at the Hotel Solemar where we were guaranteed a sea view room. Breakfast was very basic with very little choice. Don't believe all you read on their website. Photos of the rooms do not resemble what we were given and it's the worse hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in dozens all over Europe.…
I had prepaid for the basement room but was upgraded to a ground floor room with window upon arrival. We had everything I love about beachfront hotels: easy beach access, windows in our room with a cool, cross-flow breeze; tiled floors; and breakfast on the balcony looking out over the water. I appreciated the excellent assortment of items at breakfast as well. They have a deal with the closest lido for daily beach chair and umbrella rentals. I also liked having a clothesline outside our window (to hang our swimsuits to dry) and a small refrigerator. The bed was much too firm for me, but I know a lot of people prefer this. If you prefer a softer bed, plan accordingly. What really made our stay amazing were the employees. Every employee we came in contact with was so kind and accommodating. They genuinely seem to love their jobs and their guests. They always greeted my young son by name and made him feel cared for and special. We loved this hotel and Ischia so much, we actually tried (unsuccessfully) to cancel the last half of our trip (Venice) so we could just stay there!…
