Ischia, an island with three thousand years of history. In one of nicest parts of the island , at Cuotto, just behind Forio, not very far from the sandy beach of Citara is located the Hotel Paradiso Terme Resort & Spa. A place where elegance and hospitality merge in a consolidated culture which transforms the stay into a memorable expierence made of sea, nature and romantic atmosphere. An ideal stay. A very good accommodation in rooms furnished with selected materials and with care for details . Excellent cooking. The genuine products of the island and the tasty mediterranean recipes stimulated by the sea-air and the wine, pure and very old, produced from the grapes which ripen on the hang of the Epomeo satisfy even those with little appetite. Thermal Spa and Wellness opportunity. An efficient and well equipped divison of thermal and beauty, wellness treatments , an occasion to recover that tonic freshness which can be easily identified with beauty. A mediterranean architectural environment rich in colours and forms which merge the luxuriant vegetation with the landscape, the colours of the sunset and of the sea. The Resort spreads over a wide green area and it is composed of two separate but complementary parts: Hotel Paradiso Terme and Paradiso Garden Dependance, about 150 meters from each other. Both buildings are surrounded by a luxuriant and blooming garden where you can enjoy an amazing sea view and enchanting sunsets A stay at the Hotel Paradiso Terme is a guarantee of relaxing holidays, total wellness and quality services in a warm and serene environment and available staff always at your disposal. “Welcome home”, not just words but the basis of our concept of hospitality. What a find! Secluded hill top family run hotel with 70 ish rooms. This hitel hugs the side of the mountain, provides spectacular views and plays classy music around the pool and restaurant. What a joy! Rooms are basic, clean and cool with air con. Bar and terrance give fantastic sea views, staff are lovely, beer could be colder. It has 5 pools all fed by thermal springs and ranging in temperature from hot to very hot! This promises to relax and unwind you.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights last week. We booked through Secret Escapes and all the reviews were positive. The Hotel is very clean and presentable. The rooms are basic (no tea or coffee making facilities in the room). Hotel staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept. The position of the hotel with regards a view from the pool to the nearest town Forio was excellent, however, the hotel is very much off the beaten track, with a considerable walk up a steep small mountain lane from the main road. The nearest town Forio is about a 40min walk away. The nearest supermarket / shop is 20mins away. The hotel is not in a good location for any walks in to town after dinner! If on half board you select your dinner, at breakfast, from the 3 provided options for starter and main. We enjoyed the food throughout, it was always freshly cooked and we felt it was tasty. Probably due to the time of year, but there was no evening entertainment. The Spa was very dated / tired and small. My friend and I had two massages each whilst in holiday. There was only one lady doing the massages. The treatment rooms were not inviting or relaxing, they were quite cold, very white, no mood lighting or nice aromas .... we felt like we were on mortuary slabs!!!! The massages themselves were okay. The hotel itself is split in to two guest areas, we were lucky enough to have our room in the main area near reception and the pool, the restaurant. The other section is further down the hill and for those staying there, an uphill walk of about 6mins (we were told), is to be completed before you arrive for breakfast or dinner. Things to be mindful of if you stay here ...... ensure you keep copies of receipts for purchases made (drinks, snacks etc) in the hotel. We had a dispute with the hotel owner who was a little curt and defensive when we questioned the bill. We noted that a lot of people had bathrobes and were told to collect some from reception, which we did. At no point were we told or was it stated, that we had to pay for these. Had we known I would have ensured that I would have got the correct size and one which was not threadbare .... we did not pay for these. The safe in the rooms is tiny and on a wall, so anything bigger than a passport / purse you will need to keep with you. There are a number of Satellite channels on the room TV although only two are English CNN and BBC Workd news ..... if you speak or understand German then you will have a much better choice. The island of Ischia is beautiful and I would highly recommend a tour of the island at the start of your holiday as there are so many places that you can go and spend an afternoon. Don’t forget that they still have siesta on the island, so no shopping between 1300 and 1600 most days. I would not feel the need to return to this hotel, but it was a comfortable stay.

We arrived at reception hot, tired and irritable, having cut short our stay at another hotel. Our welcome restored our faith not only in human nature but in the hoteliers of Ischia. We could not have been more warmly welcomed and the unexpected upgrade was a pleasure. Our room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean with a modern twist and very comfortable beds. To be honest, once we arrived, we didn't leave again for the next five days - we simply didn't have to. We had booked on a half board basis and everything was to a high standard. The staff are attentive and friendly, the food and drink is fresh and tasty, the restaurant and pool bar facilities are exemplary. There is a generously sized main pool, which is not too deep - ideal for the less strong swimmers - and a smaller thermal pool which are very pleasant to alternate between. Breakfast is on a buffet basis, with a generous spread that gets replenished over time. Dinner is served on the terrace (weather permitting) and the food is inventive and prepared to a high standard. Bear in mind that this is a spa hotel, too. We availed ourselves of some of the treatments in a well-equipped and comfortable spa facility - heaven. Overall I simply cannot fault the Paradiso Terme - we will most definitely be back!

A stay here is like being welcomed home into the family. A beautiful peaceful relaxing hotel run bu the best people you can imagine. Imagine waking up quietly in the morning to the sound of bird song and the smell of flowers. You walk quietly out a few footsteps to a hot pool of thermal water with a stupendous view over the ocean far below. There is nothing like contemplating life in this oasis of warmth peace and tranquility....a truly magnificent way to start to the day! Then a lovely breakfast buffet with fantastic coffee. The days can be spent enjoying the various terraces, indoor and outdoor pools, the relaxation room and the sauna or on easily reached visits to island towns ( Forio) or the huge Poseiden Terme just a few minutes away. The wonderful desk staff are full of great ides of where to visit...we went to beautiful botanical gardens at Giardini la Mortella, and took a round the island walk/bus ride/boat taxi to see the Castello Aragonese. The whole visit was a pure joy created by the warmth and care of the amazing family and their employees. From the lady cleaning our room, to the gardener to the funny and friendly waitstaff and the bartender they all made every moment wonderful. Evenings are a treat too....start with an apperitivo in the bar or on one of the terraces to watch the sunset and then....then..... there is a huge antipasto bar ( if I close my eyes I can still imagine that spread!) followed by three courses each with several great choices all served with flourish and pride by the fantastic waitstaff ( did I mention this before!!). It was over a month ago that I was there for a week...and there hasn't been a day go by since then when I haven't though about Paradiso Terme. Although I often wish I was back there just the thought of that lovely place makes me feel happy and calm and beautiful.....its magic! Thank you for a such a wonderful visit. I hope to come back soon.

My wife, my daughter and I are just back from 1 week at Paradiso. Wonderful place in an amazing location but you can easily realize that by yourself, just looking at the pictures.... What I want to underline here is the very good organization and the high quality of all the staff. If you want to enjoy a relaxing vacation you can hardly find something better, I am not talking about Ischia only. I really cannot see any weak point. Great job! Hope to have the chance to stay at Paradiso again very soon!
