We weee not expecting a five star experience but there was something a little lacking here. We attended on a Voyage prive deal and have previously found their ‘sponsored’ hotels to be excellent. This was very ordinary with average rooms and a really badly presented dining room. By contract the food was excellent the one occasion we took dinner there.
I was here with my family for almost a week, we spent a nice and relaxing time in the structure. The staff is pleasant and pay the maximum effort to make your stay perfect. Food in the Piperna Restaurant was carefully prepared, varied and cooked with extreme attention. Swimming pool, thermal pool and Jacuzi... all perfect and fully enjoiable. An honorable mention to the breakfast served on the terrace, one of the most relaxing and appreciated moments by my family.
I loved staying here! The staff were so amazing! Very kind and helpful! This beautiful hotel has everything from indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi, gardens And music in the evening! The room is super clean, great water pressure for shower, fast WiFi, new clean towels and beddings, very comfortable bed. Quite room w sitting area outside. Delicious breakfast also! has parking! Very good coffee! Perfect location, walking distance to everything beach, shops etc. I can’t wait to Come back to Ischia and stay here again! A great find!!
As you can imagine from the title, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. Where do I begin... Room - we must have been unlucky with our room as it was very small and definitely not what the photos show. They do have some nice rooms though as my parents got a nice one. Breakfast - it is probably due to the current coronavirus situation but the breakfast was poor and repetitive. Dinner - we made a huge mistake by going For the half board, the food was despicable. Funny to see How they act Like a proper restaurant by having a so called Metr, an arrogant and rude person that makes the whole experience a lot worse. Staff - some members of staff were very helpful and friendly, some other were rude and could not answer simple questions. Location - very good few minutes away from Forio and local beaches. Overall, I would not going back again.…
Easy check in with friendly staff - room was clean with tea/ coffee making facilities - only 1 plug socket - had to ask for extension lead - rooms also to hot as air con had been turned off - a fan was provided . Pool area outside lovely and clean but pool was cold - needs to be heated - indoor pool area nice . Breakfast was buffet and was fairly good - at breakfast you had a menu to order your dinner for that night - food was good and well cooked but starter which was buffet needed a lot more variety . Drinks prices were typically Italian and not cheap - I wanted to pay cash every time for a drink but they wanted everything on a tab which you paid at end of holiday - hard to keep track of your money like this . Still a lovely hotel though with stunning views and lovely friendly staff- also a very good shuttle bus service to beach provided free of charge .…
Breakfast was a little disappointing, but overall very happy with our stay. Courtesy bus was a huge bonus, and drivers were both polite and helpful.. All trips were well organised and varied.Guide on the castle trip easy to understand.
Booked a budget package holiday which included this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is situated a little out of town, just a 10 minute walk to the beach. They do offer a free courtesy bus service and are always happy to take and fetch you wherever you want to go in and around Forio. We had a small problem on arrival, they had overbooked and had to put us (and one other couple) in another hotel for the first night, a little inconvenient but they were very apologetic and offered us a free massage in their spa to make it up. We had a nice garden room which was a little small but quite comfortable. No complaints about the food - there was always a good choice and the service was excellent.
This hotel was a really nice surprise. We didnt know the island at all so we just booked a package deal to get some October half term sun. We were so delighted with the hotel. The rooms were large and cool, the inside and outside pools were great, the bar was friendly and inviting and the staff at meal times were very friendly laughing and joking with our teenage kids. They even have a shuttle bus to take you down into Forio (which is a very easy stroll) or even further if you want and everything is done with a smile. We had to check out quite early to make the ferry home and when we went into the breakfast room at 5am we were welcomed as it it was a normal breakfast service and were presented with our own breakfast buffet just for us. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
Stayed here on a half board basis. The hotel is situated about a kilometer from the centre of Forio, it has lovely grounds and a nice pool terace area. The staff are this hotels major asset, friendly courteous and helpful especially the restaurant staff. Breakfast offered a good choice buffet style. You also had the option of either eating at lunch time or the evening meal, this was preordered. Food was varied with a choice of meat or fish course. The rooms were a bit dated with limited storage space and a lack of power sockets, an example of this we had to disconnect the minibar every time we used the kettle. There is a massive issue with insect bites, it could be down to poor ventilation in the bathroom having to open the window after use this still caused a steamy damp environment which attracts these insects. This was also a problem with other guests. Despite using insecticide sprays this problem persisted. This ruined our holiday, I would not stay here again For me this ruined our holiday. …
We had a wonderful week here. The food is excellent, dinner is a treat, with a huge buffet of appetisers, followed by three courses. There are fish, meat and vegetarian options. Wine prices are moderate and there are good local choices. Rooms are all single storey, and quiet and very clean. Staff are very helpful, and generally speak English. There is a large outdoor pool, which was chilly but good for swimming, and an indoor plunge pool which was heated and had an adjacent sauna. For me, the standout feature of the hotel is that, right at the end of their season, everything was open, everything worked. Jacuzzis were open and clean, pools were open, shuttle buses were running. This is a well managed hotel, putting to shame many others with higher star ratings.
