"Dint' a Torre" Bed & Breakfast (which in the local dialect means "in the tower") is located in a 3-story house built in the 20th century, recently restored, to offer its distinguished guests a relaxing atmosphere in the heart of medieval Pontone - the "Village Museum" between Amalfi and Ravello. Located on the hillside and surrounded by lemon trees and vineyards, Dint' a Torre is just a stone's throw from the sea. A unique site offering tranquility and a breathtaking, panoramic view of the blue sky, the green hills and the shimmering sea of the Amalfi Coast. If you enjoy walking through nature, head downhill as Amalfi is just a few hundred steps away! Same route, this time uphill, to Ravello, the "City of Music", to visit its historic villas and monuments. It takes about half an hour by car or by boat to reach beautiful Positano where you will enjoy getting lost in its winding avenues while visiting the great shops, antique stores and art galleries. As our goal is to make your stay an unforgettable experience, you will certainly enjoy the goodness and freshness of our homemade breakfast delicacies including our signature yogurt cake with lemon or orange marmelade...Looking forward to welcoming you as our guests!
We cannot say enough about Angela’s hospitality during our stay in Pontone! We felt personally hosted and cared for throughout our 4 days at the BnB. The views from our room were breathtaking, and the restaurants in town offered some of our favourite dishes in Italy. We rented a scooter in order to explore the surrounding areas and highly recommend that to all! The bus system was quite inefficient and the scooter allowed us to spend time in Ravello, Amalfi, and Scala with Dint a Torre as the perfect, relaxing base. Thank you Angela!

We loved our stay here! Angela was so lovely and kind. Lovely clean room with air conditioning and fridge. The bus takes you nearby to the accommodation to/from Amalfi. (The accommodation sent us the timetable which was very handy). We did walk up/down also which was a bit sweaty in summer but under 30mins. The restaurants/bar nearby in Pontone were amazing, and the service, food and views were great. Would recommend!!

Very nice room with a view. Comfy bed and clean bathroom with lots of hot water. The house is right in the middle of the tiny hamlet of Pontone, a thousand or so steps above Amalfi. It has two restaurants a few steps away.

Dint' a Torre Bed & Breakfast Scala 860906785 We booked this place for 3 nights through booking.com, initially we informed the host we would arrive between 4-5pm however due to several transportation delays which were out of our control and no wifi or phone connection we were unable to contact the host until 5:30!pm. At this time we informed the host that we wouldn't arrive until 8pm. Maria was upset and told us we were disrespectful and irresponsible. We agreed that she would leave the key with her mother as she had an appointment. When we finally arrived in Amalfi at 8:30 I called Maria once again to inform her at this time she very angry. We took a taxi to Scala and 60 euros later we were confronted with belligerent, hostile, aggressive and threatening behavior by Maria. After this incident we left the facility with no place to go. I have traveled for 30 years and never encountered anything like it. This woman has no compassion or understanding her behavior was barbaric and unacceptable!…

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the bed&breakfast for 2 nights early August 2022. The place was not straightforward to find, but after a quick call the owner showed up and showed us around the place. We had walked the stairs up from Amalfi with our suitcases l, which took us around 1.5hr, and were soaked in sweat. Maria didn’t seem to be impressed and insisted on talking us through all the details even though we’d liked to freshen up a bit first. This was a bit bothersome. The room itself and the place were neat and tidy and had all the requirements we’d need. Shower was nice too. Breakfast only consists of sweet items (bread, jams, fruits) and for savory items you’d need to pay extra, which surprised me to be honest. A bit of ham and eggs would’ve been nice and also expected based on the pricing. Breakfast is served by grandma who only talks Italian, so that’s quite bothersome too as grandma will just talk Italian to you even though you don’t understand a word she says and she will continue talking which means you cannot just get out of the conversation. The latter also holds for the owner. She is incredibly sweet, but a simple question will result in a 10 minute monologue while you’re actually just trying to enjoy your breakfast. I’d suggest the owners to keep it short and nice and leave the guests to their occupation, as they might be in a rush… Other than that no complaints at all and I would recommend the place.…

It was really nice and warm place! Maria and Angela were helpful and kind! We hiked in beautiful places:Ravello, Scala, Atrani, Amalfi. Weather was surprising! First day fog, storm, after few minutes - sun!

We visited the Amalfi Coast in late September and stayed one night here in Pontone. From here, it was about a 20 minute walk down (all stairs) to the coast and from the coast, it was a 15 minute bus ride to the Pontone-Ravello intersection, then a 15 minute to the bnb. We didn't have any issues navigating at all - the ticket office for the bus was right by the coast where the bus stops were located. We traveled with backpacks, so it was a lot easier when riding the crowded bus. Our communication with the host was through their daughter, Maria. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Maria and her parents are genuinely kind people who care about their guests' stay. We were welcomed with a lovely beverage, then proceeded with a tour of their home/bnb. The room we stayed in, as well as the home in general, was immaculate, better than a 5-star hotel! The only down side in this review is that we couldn't stay more than one night at this bnb because of our travel schedule. We recommend Dint' a Torre Bed & Breakfast 110%!!! …

We spent 5 days at Dint' a Torre and would have loved to stay longer! The bed and breakfast is situated between Amalfi and Ravello which allows it to act as a great home base to explore the area. We did the walk to to Ravello once and walked down to Amalfi on a daily basis. Walking is very do-able as long as you allocate enough time and are willing to get your heart pumping. There is also a bus that picks/up drops off within the town of Pontone for which a time table is provided in the room. The hosts very kindly provide you with a set of bus tickets that you can use as needed and you will just provide payment for the used tickets at the end of your stay. Pontone itself is a tiny little town that is quiet and peaceful. There is a pizzeria just around the corner from Dint' a Torre which we ate at twice and thoroughly enjoyed. The bed and breakfast is impeccably clean and Angela cleans the guest rooms on a daily basis which was entirely unexpected! But more than anything, we so appreciated Angela and Maria's hospitality and graciousness. They welcome their guests with such warmth and truly go above and beyond to ensure that their guests enjoy their time in the Amalfi coast and have an authentic experience. Maria was always available to answer questions about getting around and how to plan day trips. She gave us many tips that we would have never found online or in our guidebook. She also gave us a glimpse into Italian life, we miss chatting with her! As so many other reviews comment, Angela's breakfasts are phenomenal and change on a daily basis! Despite our language barrier, it was lovely getting to know Angela who is always smiling and radiates hospitality. We feel so fortunate to have found Dint' a Torre, we could not have asked for more...thank you Angela & Maria!…

We stayed with Angela and Maria in Dint' a Torre B&B from Sept 10-13. It was a delightful place to stay during our tour of the Amalfi coast. Our room was very clean, and the bed comfy. The small balcony overlooking the valley was lovely to sit on for a few hours, just listening to the quiet. There are 2 restaurants right in the tiny village, and we tried both over the 3 nights that we stayed there. (Both restaurants were excellent and everyone was super warm and inviting.) Angela is a wonderful hostess, making us a beautiful breakfast every morning with a different variety of fresh fruit jams and always a treat at the end (our favorite was the tiramisu!) Be ready to walk if you stay in Pontone, since there are lots of trails and paths (and STAIRS) to take you to Ravello, Amalfi, the waterfall, or to a variety of historical sites. The bus to Pontone is very infrequent, but if you plan your day around the buses, they are pretty reliable. Maria gave us a bus schedule and explained everything very clearly, so we knew what to expect. We had an easy time getting everywhere we wanted to go, and it was wonderful to return to their quiet village in the evening to relax and get away from the crowds of tourists in the bigger towns. I highly recommend this B&B if you are looking for a small, intimate place with a quiet, relaxing "away from it all" feeling!…

We had an amazing stay in Scala which is super close to Amalfi, 20-30 minutes walk with stairs but if wanted could take the bus also, we preferred the walk as it's a beautiful walk. Hosts were really nice and helpful, I would defensively come back and stay here again!!
