We really lucked out in having stayed at Castelcicala. Even before we got there, Gherardo gave us ideas of places to stop on the way from Rome. We continued to follow his guidance both on and off the beaten path, and our time in Nola and its surrounds was greatly improved. We otherwise would not have ended up at the...

Just got back yesterday from a week long stay here. We are a family of six staying in three of the apartments, which are very spacious and comfortable. Gherardo was very helpful in recommending places to visit, Pompeii and Vesuvius the obvious highlights but the catacombs in Naples and the archeological museum, despite a long queue, was excellent. Highly recommended....

Lovely setting, great rooms with some real character, and friendly and helpful hosts. We were a family of five sharing a three bedroom apartment and having breakfast each day for three days while we visited Herculaneum, Pompeii, Naples and Vesuvius. Very laid back, comfortable, clean, and most of all a tranquil feeling. Secure parking, small pool for cooling off and...

When first arriving we were amazed by the beauty of the location. Our suites were clean, spacious and nicely fresh (even with hot temperatures outside and without using the airconditioning). The swimming pool allows for the necessary refreshment in the hot summer. The equipment in the kitchen (refrigerator, plates, knives, glasses) was available for guests, so it was possible to...

B&B Villa Castelcicala is the perfect starting place when you plan trips to go and see Pompeii, Herculaneum, Villa Oplontis and Naples. We were fortunate to be guest in the room Don Filliberto suite. This suite is one of the largest suites I have ever been in. It is clean and very comfortable. Our host, Gherardo, had a great tip...

Wonderful old Villa, tastefully restored to provide comfortable accommodation and relaxing communal areas. Gheraldo, the host, spoke good English, was helpful, amiable and generous. The Villa provided a brilliant base for a wealth of excursions by car. We also spent quiet a bit of time at the Villa soaking up the sun and atmosphere in seating areas outside our room,...

We stayed here in early May2016. Gheraldo, the owner, was extremely thoughtful, accommodating and attentive to our needs. We stayed in the Don Fabrizio suite which was spotlessly clean and appeared to be quite new and fresh. The pool was already open and the yard beautiful; we found the entire property to be exactly the way you might imagine an...

Had a great stay here. Well located 30 minutes from Herculaneum, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Villa Oplontis etc. Property is well served with a private driveway, parking, and is set in delightful Walnut woods. Rooms are actually large suites and very comfortable. Ours included a useful fridge. Exceptionally good quality bed - best quality bed we slept in during our Italy trip....

A beautiful villa in Nola with spacious, comfortable and very well kept units. A perfect place to go anywhere around the area. The owner is a very gracious host with the best tips for restaurants and travel. You'll be upgrading your visit to the south of Italy if you stay at Castlecicala.

We were staying in Via Piana near Abruzzo national park, but wanted to visit Naples and Pompeii since that was on our bucket list.
