We stayed in Rosette Rosort 10 days in September 2018. The location of the hotel is amazing! Very big territory with so many bushes of roses everywhere. We felt like we live in the rose garden! The rooms were clean and room service was done every day. Every day the restaurant had amazing selection of vegetarian, meat and seafood dishes. All the staff we encountered with were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is just ok. Clean, close to the sea, with good food. People try to make the best of it, however they keep local standards. Most of them don't speak English, it's really difficult to communicate if you are not familiar with Italian. You will not get anything extra even if in need. There is no shadow around the swimming pool. All inclusive is really "Calabrian". The beach is not what you want for holidays: full of stones, not really clean, always busy. Parghelia is a small town, 1 km from the hotel, full of local l'ambiance which myself I like to experinece but nothing to see for those who need more "touristic" attractions. You can walk few kilometers to Tropea which a Calabrian Gem of course.
Beautifully located resort. The high cliff offers fantastic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Very helpful and always smiling crew. Clean rooms, cleaned daily. Food varied, with a touch of local dishes. The resort recommendable.
We spent one week in the summer :) This is very nice hotel beautifully located with spacious rooms and great food. The service is exellent, especially waiters and entertainers, it was great fun for us :) Sea + Wine + Food + Calabria = good mood :)
The resort is truly beautifully set up in a gorgeous large garden just at the sea side. Positive points: * Nice rooms with in-built electronic safe deposit box at no charge * Location at the private beach - you only need to walk a little street down to the beach (approx. 300 m) and if you do not wish to walk there is a minivan (again for free) which can take you down to the beach and also bring you back to the hotel * Sun beds and sun umbrellas not only at the pool but also on the beach for free (and plenty of them so there is no need to worry about not to have a place) * Staff at the restaurant (waitresses and Chef at the outside grill station) - friendly, professional and always smiling * lifeguard at the pool and at the beach Negatives: * you can swim in the pool only with a swimming hat * free internet available at the Bar, Restaurant and reception has a very weak signal so most of the time you get disconnected or you cannot get connected at all * extremely loud music which is a part of the daily animation programs and plays until midnight each day. If your room is situated nearby to the Bar or "Amfitheater" you would need to be completely deaf to fall asleep otherwise you just need to wait till it ends up. So basically you listen everyday to the same pop-music and scream of animating team (particularly a lady called Francesca is in a certain way very agressive in pushing adult people doing activities which are aimed for kids and teenagers) * broken airconditioning - if it ever works it is very noisy and heating instead of cooling Biggest disappointment * for first two nights we got probably the smallest room in the resort (it could not have more then 9-10 sqm and you could not even open the doors of the closet completely because of the bed). That was something we could cope with but it was exactly facing the Amfitheather with a incredible noise at night. We complained and asked for another room. We were promised to be moved in two days due to the fact the hotel was fully booked and we had to wait for departures. However, in case we would not take an action and ask again and again for another room as we were completely tired from a lack of sleep there would not be any action from the reception/director. * we bought a boat trip to Lipari Vulcano islands at the Bazaar (which is a place/part of the hotel). We were informed by a lady - a member of animation team - who sold us tickets that the trip is from 7 am till 7 pm. Although the boat arrived to the pier at 19:10 we were stuck and waiting in a bus for the return transfer until 20:30 being told that we need to wait for another boats with other clients from different hotels. Very strange and unprofessional. We felt really desperate being stuck at dark about 5 km from the hotel and not even knowing when we ever get back. I shared that experience just on that evening with a Hotel Resident Manager and Head of the animation team. Both of them promised they will take an action and they will inform us what kind of compensation we will get for that awful situation. Surprisingly none of them ever spoke to us until our departure although they met us in the resort many time during the other days. Honestly I am not sure if that is how the Resident Manager should act and for us it only means that regardless the lovely ambience of the resort we will not ever come back nor we will recommend this place to our friends. It is a true pity as the bad experience only comes from the lack of professionality of the management.…
