In May 2021 I had 2 large work events at the Maldron, Newlands Cross. The events involved 100-200 people and required meeting rooms, catering and overnight accommodation along with a lot of extra admin requirements, all the while working in the strictest social distancing regulations. The management at the Maldron facilitated two pre-meetings for each event allowing me to view all meeting rooms, the catering facilities, car and coach -parking and the bedrooms. they even let me meet with the chef to discuss his ideas for feeding our people. The hotel is very well set up to provide high level service to medium and large groups. The list of last minute changes and small extra requirements we required from the Maldron staff is too long to write here, but suffice to say they went above and beyond to facilitate us with outstanding service throughout the two overnight events. Both groups arrived late from the airport, I needed extra meals for 200 people at short notice, I needed late check outs at short notice and a lot more. The Maldron staff carried it all off without breaking a sweat and acting like it was all part of the job. The senior management conduct themselves with old-fashioned good manners, and a professionalism that spreads to all the staff. I would recommend the Maldron, Newlands Cross, to anyone who has a bus full of hungry and tired travellers requiring some professional TLC. You will be well looked after there.

Chloe, a waitress in the restaurants is exceptionally helpful. Goes out of her way to make your stay as pleasant and easy as possible, especially with kids, who she takes time to chat to and shows great interest in their interests. She's exceptionally friendly and a reason to go back again!

First of all I have to say the Irish people are the most friendliest and nicest people I have met and this was reflected 100% in the staff here who were kind courteous and professional throughout my stay especially Kieth working in the Bar/Restaurant who was very friendly, chatty & made me feel welcome every time I walked in. The hotel itself was clean modern and comfortable, the food was a reduced menu due to COVID for my first week stay but by the second week the menu had expanded to a tasty and appetising selection of dishes. If I was to give one area of improvement it would be to adjust the dampers on the room self closing door mechanism, as most of the room doors started banging shut from the early hours, I was up fairly early but I could imagine other guests having a later lie-in may be woken by this. But why dwell on a negative when you have a great hotel with very friendly staff and great food. Thank you for making my two week stay with work comfortable & COVID safe.

The family & I enjoyed a three night stay at the Maldron Hotel, Newlands Cross, Dublin. We stayed at this hotel before in April 2018, so it was interesting to return here to stay just after lockdown rules started to be eased in Ireland. I would have given this review four stars, if it wasn't for the following points: Negatives: Their was a room mix-up on arrival (we were given a room which was too small for our family), which was resolved, but I disliked the attitude & tone of the young girl on reception who refused to apologise for the mix-up as our reservation request was correct. I didn't catch the name of the girl who served us on reception. Their was no room servicing during our stay which I didn't realise due to the conditions for hotel reopening. We had to ask for extra towels, rubbish bags e.t.c during our stay. The tea & coffee facilities remained in the room, but were very basic compared to before the lockdown situation. In light of these, the room rates being offered could be reduced to reflect the more basic level of service on offer. Evening restaurant menu not very inspiring and limited (again could be re-opening issues post lockdown?) Positives: The other staff we engaged with were very friendly & helpful...a special shout-out to the Duty Manager Roberto who was very obliging on a couple of occasions, and our server Sandra in the breakfast room every morning. The breakfast menu and quality is very good. A tasty offering Our changed bedroom was very spacious, roomy, and clean. The beds are very comfortable...you will have a great night's sleep! ...... All in all we had an enjoyable stay, and if they are able to raise their level of service further coming out of lockdown they'll have a great value for money hotel offering.
