Just spent 3 nights at the Astir. The Hotel was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast adequate. The pool beautiful. While the hotel is on the outskirts of town it’s only a 10 minute walk mostly along the beach to the town centre and most of the restaurants. The beach itself is a 2 minute stroll down the lane. The reception staff were all very helpful and friendly. Overall a very nice place to stay.

We stayed 5 nights and used this as our base to explore the island. It's 200m from the beach, about a 1km easy walk to town. Plenty of restaurants nearby and close to the bus line to plaka. We had a room with a balcony view of the water and sunset, it was a great place to have an afternoon drink. Room was very comfortable and was cleaned daily. Breakfasts had a vet goood variety from fritatas to eggs, pastries, yoghurt and fruit. Would stay again

If you wanna take a trip to Naxos this is the your hotel! Really clean, friendly stuff and great located. Evangelia the manager of the astir knows how to fulfill guest dreams. The breakfast tasted good, fresh fruits, handmade eggs and the coffee is good. Because of its great location you can take a walk along Agia Georgios beach to Naxos town. Thanks for all! We will definitely come back

My girlfriend and I visited Naxos in late August, looking for a relaxing week away. Upon arrival it was clear to see that Astir of Naxos were taking the COVID situation seriously. We were greeted by friendly staff wearing PPE equipment which made us feel comfortable and safe. There were also complimentary masks for guests within the reception area in case we needed. As it was relatively quiet, Evangalia the manager was kind enough to show us the rooms available and allow us to take our pick. The room was lovely, very clean and spacious, had a modern bathroom, a large terrace view overlooking the pool and was equipped with a fridge, hairdryer and Iron. We opted for a double bed which was very comfortable. Our booking included breakfast served between (if I remember correctly) 08:00 - 10:30. There was plenty of options including local Greek pastries, yoghurt, fruit, continental, as well as some hot options. Perfect for starting the day with. The pool and surrounding area was exceptionally clean and had plenty of sunbeds/umbrellas available. Temperature of the pool was very refreshing and a great way to cool off in the 30’c+ heat. The hotel was situated in a great location with the beach at the bottom of the road just a short minute 2 minute walk. St George’s beach has lots of nice beach bars and beach restaurants to enjoy as well as water sports. It was also just a short 10 minute walk into Naxos town for dinner in the evening where there’s plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. Overall Astir of Naxos contributed to a great holiday. We’ve already agreed that we will be coming back to Naxos next year and we will definitely rebook this hotel. Lewis & Lauren

We are just back from a 6 night stay in Astir of Naxos and we couldn't have been more sad to leave. We were sad when our go to hotel in Naxos didn't open this year due to covid but I'm glad we found Astir. Overall our stay was excellent. Service: this was the best part of the stay. Astir is a family business and you are made to feel like you are visiting family. The owners can't do enough to make your stay excellent. We were greeted daily with a smile. Proper Greek hospitality. Room: we had the honeymoon suite with the 4 poster bed. Living in the UK I've always found beds really small. It was amazing to enjoy such a big bed with comfortable mattress. Also, the air con was great and well needed. The room had all you needed for a comfortable stay. I've seen in other reviews that they have renovated some bathrooms. Our bathroom was lovely but I can't wait to stay again when it is renovated. Breakfast: good breakfast served by a member of staff with some different items daily. It would be nice if there was some fresh juice. Location: it's a very short walk to the beach and a 12 minute walk to Naxos Chora so perfect for people who want to explore the island and the beaches but also enjoy the lifestyle of Naxos Chora. Cleanliness: everything is immaculately clean and the hotel is taking covid seriously. Staff are wearing masks and they served the food in order for guests not to handle food. There are sanitisers throughout and sanitising wipes and masks for guests. Pool: pool was lovely, clean and quiet. Overall, it's a great hotel, in a great island, run by great people.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 days during August 2020. The location is great as it is in walking distance from the town of Naxos, as well as very close to the beach. Naxos is a wonderful island full of opportunities to enhance your trip with the authentic experience of the local community. The girl at the reception welcome me with a lovely smile and explain to me the necessary “covid19 protocol’. The hotel follows this protocol almost ‘reverently’! The hotel is very clean. In each corner there is antiseptic gel free of charge for the use of the guests. The open-air breakfast room is by the pool, giving a nice view to start the day. I enjoyed the fresh figs from the fig tree in the gardens of the hotel. Also, the hotel boasts a wonderful spa, that hopefully next year will be open. Unfortunately, this year due to convid19 the spa was closed, but I had the opportunity to visit it. The rooms are spacious with verandas and many of them with pool view. They are nicely decorated with white and pastel colours. I liked that each room has a separate door, so you don't need to pass from the reception in order to go to your room. All rooms are with marble!! The shower is so nice, marble with class!!! A real luxury...

We stayed in 2 ground floor rooms, ours had recently been modernised so was lovely clean & fresh. Whereas the other room although spotless clean does require an update to the bathroom. Occupancy was low due to Covid so we virtually had the pool to ourselves. It’s a good size with good quality sun beds. Pool towels are provided on request (although not bed quality). Breakfast is a decent continental but personally would prefer fresh orange juice rather than concentrated. Hotel is situated few mins walk to the beach (nice bar as you join the beach) then a 10-15mins walk along the promenade into town. The owners and managers ensure you have a good stayrecommended places to go, sorted out best price hire car & allowing us to keep our rooms until departure.
