Third time and still the favorite of the Greek hotels we have stayed at. The staff is extremely professional, warm, friendly and helpful. The hotel location perfect-away from the traffic and noise of downtown, but a five minute walk to the beach, the square, a big supermarket, tons of shops, cafes & bakeries, and a ten minute walk gets you to the waterfront with what seems like hundreds of dinner choices. The condition and upkeep of the hotel is top notch, mature flowering trees and shrubs are everywhere, the grounds are meticulously maintained, rooms are spotless and contain thoughtful amenities to enhance your stay (that we wished other hotels had) coffee making in room, safe boxes, makeup mirror, shelf space in the bathroom for your toiletries and comfortable outdoor shady spaces. This was our third visit (2014, 2016, and 2023). It won’t be our last. Our only very minor items we would love to see added are: More hooks in the bathroom, more hooks in the bedroom and fresh cooked to order eggs at the breakfast buffet.

It was our first time in Naxos and the Galaxy Hotel was recommended. It is so ideally situated to the beach and the centre of Town – such an easy walk with so much to see and look at along the way. The executive Manager, Lambros is a seasoned and experienced hotelier intent on trying to ensure that guests are comfortable at all times. Lambros is ably assisted by Eleni at reception. Other trip Advisor reviews have said it all so not much to add except a few tips. If you don’t like shampoo/shower gel in one bottle take your own soap and shampoo as well as tissues and body lotion. The pictures of the rooms on the website are a little misleading in terms of size (so do double check the actual square meterage you are booking) but the rooms are clean and comfortable if not perhaps a little on the small side – everyone has a different preference in this regard. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels and linen. We enjoyed our stay at Galaxy and Naxos.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the beach while also being very convenient to downtown and the boardwalk for eating and shopping. Hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable and nice. I really enjoyed the balcony for the room and also the views. The staff are very friendly.
Although the hotel does provide towels for the pool and beach, you will have to put down a deposit of 20Euro which is refundable when you bring back the towel. Also note that there is limited seating by the pool. The chairs were always full so the hotel needs more chairs.
Make sure to bring your own amenities. Although they provide you with several bottles, they only provide a shampoo/body wash combo. They don't have conditioner, lotion or soap. They also don't provide rags....just hand towels and towels.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel is showing some signs of old age but our superior double room had apparently been modernized at some point. The hotel is in a great location - Close to town and beach. Our room was small, with no chairs in the room even though the picture of the superior room on the website showed two nice chairs. There was a refrigerator with freezer but the freezer didn’t work and the temperature adjustment knob was also broken. We requested a double bed but it was actually two twin beds pushed together and the mattresses seemed to be pretty worn out. We had a balcony with sea view. There was a nice size closet, with a couple of drawers and a safe. There was only one outlet in the room to plug in chargers or other devices. Wifi worked intermittently. The bathroom was small with poor lighting, the exhaust fan was not properly installed, and the hair dryer barely had any blower output. There was a nice size shower with jacuzzi water jets, but there was a problem with the water supply as the water would occasionally turn scalding hot suddenly while showering. The cleaning in the room and throughout the hotel was very disappointing. For example, the shelves and closet door in our room were dirty and vanity counter and mirror in the bathroom were splattered with water when we checked in. The toilet bowl, mirror, vanity, and floor were not cleaned the first day, but the next day cleaning seemed to be done better. The lid on the yogurt bin at breakfast was dirty as were some utensils. There were dog feces in the floor of the breakfast room directly next to our table one morning. There was a pretty wide selection of breakfast items, some of the pastries and deserts were excellent, but the eggs were often cold and the breakfast room and buffet area were small, and the location of the coffee, tea, and juices in a corner of the room created a cramped bottleneck. We thought having to pay 10 euro deposit for beach towels to be somewhat tacky. Hopefully the hotel can work on some improvements, especially with regard to cleanliness issues, but due to the dog feces in the breakfast room alone I don’t think we could ever return to this hotel.

Hotel is close to St. George Beach, Naxos town and the Harbor (all within walking distance.) The hotel serves a very nice breakfast which is included with your stay. Our room was #128...it was located up 1 small level of steps with a deck that overlooked the garden area which was also very private. I definitely recommend this room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was quiet. If you want a room that has a deck overlooking the pool with a view of the beach, it will be more expensive and also less private since there are always people at the pool (but this may not bother you.) The entire staff were very helpful and friendly...they made you feel very welcomed. The hotel has their own parking lot, so if you rent a car it's nice to have a spot for it. Great property! 👍

Pretty Greek village style hotel area. Nice pool area with a pool bar with excellent staff. Nice breakfast area with seating both inside and outdoors. The public beach is just a 5min walk from the hotel. Naxos Chora can be reached in a 10min walk. The Standard Double Rooms (16m2) are quite small and we recommend to book at least a Superior Double Room (21m2) for longer stays. The shower is meant to be quite fancy with multiple shower beams at different levels and from different sides. However, in the narrow shower cabinet, a simple shower head from the ceiling would be a lot more practicable.

Our grandson 7 years and my husband and I stayed for 3 nights and for the most part enjoyed our stay especially the location which is very good close and convenient to the wonderful St. George’s beach and Naxos town.
The room was however very small for 3 persons and we struggled to find a space for our three suitcases . We were also in a triple garden room that had a tiny balcony and was shaped in an arch so there was no sun anytime and it felt quite like a “cave” inside. In hindsight I wish I had asked to see the room before taking it …..lesson learned. Some of the other triple garden rooms had more sunlit rooms and a bigger outdoor space. We had asked for a room on a higher floor not realizing these 2nd floor rooms were not as desirable .
The pool area is lovely, a nice size with a bar area we enjoyed our time by the pool as well as the beach which is a few minute walk away.
Breakfasts were average, the staff helpful and friendly .
There is a laundry nearby where for 14 euro they wash and dry a large bag of laundry
We were in Paros prior to Naxos and we loved Paros much more than Naxos which in the main area by the harbor was almost “carnival like” and filled with people. We enjoyed Naousa in Paros very much as it was more upscale and beautiful to walk around in.
Over all we recommend this hotel but be careful what room type and location you choose within the resort.

I'm so glad we booked with the Galaxy Hotel. We were considering one other place that was a little closer to the old town on a map, but when we got there, everything was close. It was a very easy walk from the Galaxy Hotel to the Port (even with luggage), the restaurants, shopping areas, and beach. The beach takes about 45 seconds to walk to! Having a pool to cool off at the end of each day was a welcome bonus. And the pool was rarely busy, so you could always find chairs and it was a peaceful space.
The service from the staff was second to none! After the first night, I found the bed to be a little too firm so I asked for some extra blankets to put under the fitted sheet. They brought a bed cover right away, and then the next day (without my asking) they actually changed out the mattress! They honestly went over and above to make my stay comfortable, and it was so appreciated.
They offer laundry service for a really reasonable fee. Be sure to take them up on this as you drop off your bag of clothes in the morning, and they are clean and folded when you get back at the end of the day. Perfect!
We rented a car for two days while on Naxos, and the hotel arranged it for us on the spot, with very little notice. That was very convenient as the car was dropped off, and picked up from our hotel. Easy!
The breakfast had lots of choice (fruit, eggs, sausage/bacon, pancakes, yogurt, pastries) with not just coffee, but selections of tea, cappuccino, and espresso.
Our room was comfortable, the service was excellent, the food was plentiful with lots of options, and the price was reasonable. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. If you're considering it, book it. You won't be disappointed.

If we ever return to Naxos, this place will be at the top of our list.
The rooms are nicely remodeled recently and the efficiency take conditioning is a welcome feature during the hotter months. Our particular location was very quiet. Our room had two balconies (one large enough to stand on, the other large enough to sit on). I don’t know if that is standard. But being able to open both for fresh air in the morning was nice.
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of foods (coffee, tea and juices, baklava and other pastries, cucumbers and tomatoes, eggs, white and wheat bread, hot and cold meats, cheeses, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, etc.) for different tastes.
The pool has a different seating available (some lie-flat lounge chairs, some with umbrellas) and a shaded area with tables for eating or working on. The pool bar offers beach towels from 11am-11pm — you give them €10/towel and they give you the money back when you return the towel.
The staff are all polite and professional. Wake up early enough and you’ll see the grounds crew in action, keeping the beautiful plants in good condition. Maybe you’ll even see the local goats traveling by the pool on their way to keep the grasses down in neighboring lots.
There are at least a dozen different restaurants within a short walk, plus three markets. If you plan to go around the island, you might want to rent a car. But if you only plan to go to Chora/Naxos Town, skip the car. Town is close enough to walk. And if you’re here during the busy season, finding parking can be a real hassle.

This hotel was exactly what you envision when going to Greece and exactly what we needed! White walls, blue accents, open spaces, beautiful courtyards, heavenly pool, close to the beach, easy walk to town center and very friendly / helpful staff!
We had issues with the ferry and arrived later than planned - they were very accommodating with our change in plans! They were able to give us space to leave our bags and venture out to the pool area for some R&R while we waited for our room which they were able to get ready for us sooner than expected.
The breakfast buffet was well stocked with lots of tasty options and you had the option of dining indoors and outdoors.
Each room had its own outdoor seating area which was really nice and the rooms were a good size. The bathroom was a bit on the smaller side and could use some space for personal toiletries, but there was a small desk / table that worked nicely as a makeup area.
The staff was constantly cleaning and engaging with guests to ensure it was a great experience and it truly was. The level of service was top notch!

Airport is about 3 miles away. You can ask the manager at the Galaxy to have a taxi meet you there. It is a very small airport with only a handful of flights each day. Airport noise never bothers us.
Beach is very calm and the sand is beautiful. No rocks or pebbles. Beach is very large so it’s never very crowded. Very clear and clean water. Sea is very shallow, one has to walk about 30 meters in the water to get to deeper waters. Safe for children and non-swimmers.
Hotel is set back a bit from the water, but most of the premium hotels in Naxos are not directly on the beach. The beach front buildings are mostly restaurants. However you can see the beach and water from hotel. It’s just a two minute walk to the beach.
This is a very well situated hotel because it is on the far side of the beach so it’s less crowded. It’s near several good restaurants directly on the beach that are good for lunch. and it is a short 5-10 minute walk to lots of great and inexpensive restaurants.
We have visited Naxos about 7 times over the last 15 years. And we live in the western US, so it’s a looong trip. Naxos is worth the trip. We always stay at Galaxy.
There are more places to choose from in the Naxos Town area.
