We booked our hotel August 9, 2020 for four nights. Galaxy canceled our first reservation because the credit card would expire before our May 23, 2020 booking. We never had to do this before, but we had to rebook with a different card that doesn’t expire until 2023! This credit card was considered acceptable. Once a reservation was excepted and we had a confirmation number we hadn’t thought about the reservation since August 2019 when we booked it. It is getting closer to our holiday so we wanted to arrange transportation from the port to the hotel so we wrote to the hotel on March 8,2020. We received a response 12 hours later simply saying that the hotel manager CANCELED our reservation in January 2020! NEVER did they bother sending us any correspondence saying they were going to cancel our reservation! We were shocked as no balance is kept on the card and the card wouldn’t expire until 2023 and has a limit that far exceeds anything I’d ever use. Every email we sent in response to this shocking information was met with an unrelenting repeat of the same message that he canceled our booking in January. The hotel manager, Lambros [ - ] was unapologetic, uncaring and firm! He was NOT going to fix this, despite the fact that there was absolutely no reason for him to have canceled our booking. I emailed again, and again he repeated that he canceled our reservation in January and gave away our room! This was an unreasonable, nonsensical decision to do this to us. Had we not have written for transport from the port, we would have gotten there in May and had nowhere to stay! Despite his uncaring, unpleasant message telling us to look elsewhere, we wrote again, hoping to appeal to his sensibilities (of which he has none). We offered to write a favorable review if he would right this wrong and honor our reservation/confirmation. We expressed that we would let people know online that it was handled to our satisfaction. Not only did he not admit wrong-doing, show any remorse or apologize, he said that we were blackmailing him! We offered him a good review despite the fact that he totally screwed us over, if he would simply do the right thing and he calls that “blackmail?!” That’s outrageous! Talk about insult to injury! He literally insulted us! There are so many amazing hotels to choose from in Naxos; don’t take the chance with this irrational and unpredictable guy. We did everything right and were totally mistreated by the hotel manager. This could happen to you too. The way Lambros [ - ] handles reservations and clientele is so unprofessional and shameful. Two thumbs down.…
A modern, well-appointed hotel with wonderful staff who were super-friendly and genuinely concerned about our well-being. Nothing was too much trouble for them to organise or arrange. Well appointed bedroom with cute balcony which had views overlooking the beach. Perfect for sun-downers (but pack mosquite protection for outdoors at dusk!). The modern shower rates as the best shower I have ever had! Fantastic breakfast was served. Hotel within easy walking distance of excellent eateries and the Old Town.
This is a fantastic hotel! The location is perfect with the beach, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Still, it's quiet. The architecture and grounds are beautiful. Our room was very clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Housekeeping does an excellent job. We were thrilled to find the hotel laundry service was reasonably priced and the clothes left in the morning were neatly folded and placed in our room by afternoon! The entire staff was wonderful with a friendliness and professionalism that was impressive and exceeded expectations. We were a group of 30 people, all friends and loud at times. Those who worked there were kind and always made us feel welcome. The staff truly made our stay outstanding.
My wife and I stayed at the Galaxy Hotel after a short stay in Athens. We both found the hotel to be very comfortable and staff was super helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and updated. I enjoyed the pool area and you could walk to beach, restaurants and the Temple of Apollo. We are not world travelers but this trip was amazing. We spent 6 days in Naxos at the Galaxy enjoying sunsets , restaurants, friendly staff and a daily nap after the beach waiting for dinner! We rented a car for a drive to nearby villages for the day. It was happily facilitated by hotel staff, very easy and had a great time. Thank you owners and staff for a great stay!
We stayed 4 days and always we feel like home. Eleni and Panos in the front desk always answered all the dubts with a smile. And great was the gift that the hotel give to my wife in her birthday. The room was awesome with a view to the sea. Breakfast was good but I would like a little difference in each day. The clean was perfect and the service and the attention was good too. The pool was perfect too and the proximity to the beach was wonderful. Thank you all the persons of this hotel that do all the best for us
