This is the second time we have stayed at The Summer Memories, all rooms are individually decorated. Maria and Andonis looked after us very well, lots of nice touches on arrival, water, bread and beer. Every day they would greet us with a smile and check we were both ok, we'd come back from a hard day on the beach to cake, jam and cake. Due to covid all precautions and safety guides were taken seriously, all PPE'd up when entering the apartment for cleaning. We will definitely be back again. A lovely chilled place to be as part of a relaxing holiday. We love Naxos :)
We booked 6 nights at Summer Memories and could happily have stayed much longer. Perfect hosts, with lovely touches throughout our stay. Lots of home grown produce and baked goodies. Transfers to and from the port. Loved being so close to the beach and enjoyed our relaxing evening stroll along the beach. Thanks to Maria, Antonis and little Artemis for making us so welcome. We will definitely return
It was our second summer vacation there in a row. We love the place and our hosts. Peaceful, clean and convenient giving you quick access to both downtown (15 min walk) and Agios Prokopis which is the top beach of the island (5min drive). I attach a photo of my balcony sunset view. Value for money, for sure!!
We stay 1 week in Naxos and was a beautiful holiday. The location is perfect, close to the Saint George beach (5minutes walk) and close to town (10minutes walk). The owner was so kind with us, they takes us from the ferry and every day they gives us small food attentions. The room was clean and spacious. I think that the location is perfect if you want to relax or if you want to be close to water sport activities.
Well appointed studio with nice balcony with a seaview even though we were on the ground level. Set in attractive grounds with a covered communal area if you want to sit out in a bigger space. Efficient aircon. Cleaner came in daily. Spotlessly clean with soft, fluffy towels/bedlinen/shower mat/teatowel all changed daily. Wonderful hosts - Maria and Antonis were so welcoming and always there if you needed anything. On arrival Maria gave us a map and some info on places to go during our stay plus a welcome cold drink. They can organise car/scooter hire for you to be delivered to the studio if you want that - we didn't hire anything as prefer to use the local buses which are cheap and efficient and you can see a lot of the island this way. Really appreciated the products they also gave to us during the week - bottle of water, plums, eggs, biscuits, cucumber already in the fridge when we arrived plus fresh pastries on some mornings and on one day we were given the most exquisite sweet juicy melon - all produce comes from the family farm. Good communication before we arrived re free pick up from port and no problem with lift back again. Antonis also took us in his car to the neaby supermarket to save us carrying heavy bottles of water. Nicely situated - short walk to the beach and about 20 mins to Chora although there is a bus stop outside the studios. You dont need to walk on the main road - you can get onto the beach boardwalk if you cross the road and then walk through St Georges beach area to get into town. Loads of really good places to eat nearby in St Georges Beach and very reasonable - we were paying less than 35 euros for a main meal, bread and a couple of beers everywhere we went and everywhere seems to offer a complimentary dessert or ouzo. The Spa supermarket is about half a mile away and is much cheaper than the smaller supermarkets in St George's Beach - we found an easy route to the Spa without having to go on the main road - go down the unmade road alonside the studios and you come out on a quieter road which leads up to the main road and just by the Spa supermarket - about a 5 minute walk. The shops are all open till quite late in the evening and even on a Sunday so no problems buying bits for breakfast or lunch. Various bakeries nearby too but we found the nicest bread was from a traditional wood fired bakery in the old town in Chora in the Old Market area. Yes it's on a busy road but it's set well back and any traffic noise really didn't bother us - with the aircon on at night we slept really well in the comfy beds. There is a larger hotel next door but again we didn't experience any noise from that. Free wifi which was good in our room and out on the balcony. Cannot recommend this place enough - one of the best places we have stayed in Greece at this price range.…
