We stayed here for two nights en route to Slovenia and Italy. It's a worthwhile staging post but this hotel is just not easy to find even with a good satnav so suggest you phone up beforehand for directions. All the staff we encountered spoke good English. There is free parking just outside this rural hotel set in wonderful rolling...

We stayed in the hotel for a week. It is a family hotel, located in an old building that was built in 1847. The staff if very friendly and gets out of his way to help, if by suggesting trips and places to visit, or to change breakfast opening time to suit your needs. The rooms are old, but have...

Very nice hotel at the lovely place near small river. Big and comfortable room with balcony and full equipped bathroom. Plenty of free parking. Free wifi. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was served in very nice Bavarian room with great choice of rolls, cheeses, ham and eggs with very good coffee. The location is great ,...

We liked the hotel. It wasn't fancy (about what we expected from a 3-star hotel). The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was good. The view was lovely and we enjoyed having a balcony even though it wasn't warm out. We used this as a base to explore other parts of the Black Forest by car, and we liked that...

Stayed two nights recently and loved every minute. Everyone we had contact with was helpful and friendly. Had a chance to chat with owner, Alexandra, about the history of the hotel and her family. In the morning, our host took us to a table already set aside for us by the fireplace. Impeccable service all around. Decor fantastic; felt like...

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a recent short tour of Germany - it was, quite simply, the best decision we could have made. The room itself was large, airy, spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious with excellent views over the surrounding area from its balcony. Breakfast was massively varied, beautifully laid out and the small name...

All of the hotel staff were friendly. The gentleman in the morning was extremely friendly and helpful; he asked what our plan was for the day and then gave suggestions. Although in a very small town, the hotel was in a good location for day trips in various directions. We had two large rooms, both with a couch; one room...

We stayed here for two nights on a recent trip around Europe. The hotel is very old with lots of lovely features. Our room was large and had everything you would require for a couple of nights stay. Not luxury, but well worth the price charged. The best part of our stay was the restaurant where we ate both nights...

The hotel is a picture postcard Black Forest hotel, just off the main road from Waldkich to Elzach. The staff are very welcoming and speak English. Our room (23) was excellent and very clean with satellite TV and comfy firm beds. The bathroom was OK but the shower had a broken fitting and the sealant round the tray was in...

We were not sure what to expect but ended up with what we hoped for: a true German inn off the beaten path in a quaint, picture-perfect historic building. Complete with low beamed roofs and dark wood trim, this was a real treat. Do not miss the restaurant: it was unexpectedly terrific, as was the included free breakfast which featured...
