We have stayed in Pierre et Vacances apartments in numerous French ski resorts so thought we knew what to expect. The hotel is in a great location for skiing and restaurants but the rooms really are very small. Our bed was awful too. Be prepared that the rooms don’t come with a kettle ( or a hairdryer) and that you are expected to clean your room at the end of your stay. If you don’t want to do this you have to pay 40 Euros. We did our own cleaning but it had to be inspected by the management. I actually don’t mind this too much but it was not clear when we booked and I like to know what I am getting for my money. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming and if you literally just want to sleep in the apartment then you will probably be fine staying here but personally we won’t stay here again.

Stayed here last week and would recommend this place. The ski slope is across the road and accessable using an escalator at the side of tourist office. The couple who manage the appart\ hotel could not have been more helpful. They both speak excellent English and are very welcoming. The flat we had was for six people but more suiatble for 4. the facilities were very good and having a ski locker was a bonus.

If you’re planning on not spending too long in your accommodation and are maximising skiing and apres ski then this is a good option! It’s right in the centre of town, v.close to restaurants and bars and the pistes are about 5 mins down the road. Very good ski rental place over the road and a bus stop directly opposite which can get you home from the pistes if you’ve had too many toffee vodkas up the mountain! On the negative side there were 2 of us in a 4 person room and it was fine, but anymore will be a little cramped. But like I said, if you’re here for skiing and want a great location and are good enough mates with travel companions that you can get on in cramped-ish circumstances then don’t hesitate in booking! Hope this helps!

Yes these apartments are small and a bit dated (though if you frequently rent apartments in French ski resorts you will know that this is pretty standard) but they are well laid out and work well as a base for a family. Positives: - Great location in centre of town - Very friendly and helpful staff (not always the case with Maeva so this was well appreciated) - Nice and warm - Plenty of hot water - Seemed well sound-proofed, we didn't hear much from neighbours or those above or below us - Pool table and table tennis kept the kids amused for a few hours Negatives - Car park quite cramped (so much so that another car helpfully scratched right down the side of our hire car, meaning our holiday ended on quite a sour note with a massive excess to pay to the hire company!) - Would have a been nice to have a kettle Can't really fault the place, if we come back to Meribel I think we would definitely consider coming back.

Stayed here for a week in Feb and it was the perfect location for accessing the slopes and hitting the restaurants and bars in the evening. There is a ski locker in the basement and once you take a short flight of stairs and cross the road you're at an escalator to the slopes, such convenience! There were 3 of us in the apt and we were all up and about at different times due to different ski schools so the size was fine, the storage has been totally optimised so it didn't feel cluttered even though it's fairly tight space wise. The staff at reception were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great advice re restaurants etc. Our apt faced the street side so could be noisy at times when people came out of the bars at night but ear plugs sorted it out and think it's possible to request the valley side too. All in all it was good value considering it eliminated the need for buses or long walks to the slopes lugging gear, would recommend!

The decor and furniture of the accommodation is very basic and dated, however, this is forgiven for the fact that it os situated in the center of town. Great location for 20-30 year olds who would like to go to bars in the evening. There is the ability to ski all the way to the center of town, 50m walk to the front door of the accommodation.

Stayed here February 2017, a party of 7 in two rooms, clean, basic if little small for four adults(men) but would be fine for parents with two children, a well equipped kitchen with a toaster, kettle, coffee maker and hob. Be aware that you have to make up your own beds on arrival and then clean the rooms on departure, but don't let that put you off, helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location for skiing, opposite the ski lift, in the centre of meribel, ideal for a budget holiday.

Perfect location for centre of town and all amenities. Just a few minutes walk to the lift to the slopes. Large ski locker included and all necessary utensils for food etc. Apartment bit on the small side but had everything we needed and was very warm

Perfectly located for quick access to the slopes from the town centre using a ski escalator just above the Office du Tourisme which is opposite the Hotel, making the hotel almost ski-in/out. There is also a good system for accessing the ski lockers via a lift system. We stayed in a 2 piece apartment for 6. The reception team were friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. There were 2 of us - It would be difficult to fit in any more than maybe a couple of children as there is little storage space for ski clothes and luggage. Our room faced onto the town and was noisy into the early hours due to the bars opposite.

This was a last minute trip and we were 3 friends travelling with 4 dogs. The location of the place was amazing and the lady who checked us in was great. WiFi - in this day and age, it should be free. Having done our research we knew it would be 12 Euro's for the week in the apartment, but NOT 12 Euros PER DEVICE. The apartment was very clean, but basic and very cramped (we had the 6 person apartment. There is NO kettle or oven so take a travel kettle with you and do not expect to cook a la carte meals. The Residence was not very busy when we stayed, but I did hear people from the upstairs room and the tv from the next door apartment. The ski room was very secure as was the garage. Not sure how often the front door code changed (am pretty sure that it changes once a year and the code was very simple and obvious). Only 2 keys (plus the spare key if given out) are available per 6 bed apartment (not ideal as Reception attendance is very sketchy). The Residence is not bad, but it didn't quite suit our needs - I have NOT marked it down because of that. I would recommend it for Ma, Pa and the 2+ wains, a group of 18-21 year olds (who will realistically spend all day skiing and all night partying) and for couples - all of whom are on a budget.
