We had a good stay over the half term period. The rooms are a bit dated and really could do with a refurb, but everything worked and was clean. Access to the Piste was amazing as we could ski out from our balcony being on the bottom floor and my son could play out in the snow really easily. The only down side is the noise in the morning. The hotel sits about a group of shops and they start opening up around 5 am which includes pushing trolleys under the building and the noise is very loud. I don't think we slept in once but it gets you up for skiing! Good value only downside really was the early morning noise.
pluses: great location in the heart of Mottaret village, very good services, superb for skiing, the best skiing area worldwide minuses: small room for family, older hotel, unpleasant noises every morning, higher prices in general
Really enjoyed our stay here, will definitely be back, very friendly staff especially at reception, very convenient to all amenities. Very clean and maintained to very high standard, only area that I found could be improved would be the kitchen area of the apartment.
Great at the ski piste, directly in the snow mountains. Good stay. Accommodation is small ( typical French style) but for 2 people sufficiënt (not for 4 adults). Equipment is ok and good view everywhere ( north as well as south side)
Noise at nights from people following from bars along the alley below the window. Comfortable well-equipped with cutlery apartment. Ski-boxes are not equipped with boots dryer, it was uncomfortable to carry ski-boots to the room every day.
We stayed over Easter in a studio for 3. yes it was small but perfectly formed! 2 adults and a 10 year old, we were cosy but out ski-ing all day and didn't need to be indoors much. this place is excellent value for money and everything - the chairlifts/gondolas/hire shop/supermarche/bars, literally EVERYTHING is 3 steps away. could not be better, no stress whatsoever. there were no queues either and beautiful powder snow and sun. the receptionists were all really helpful and lovely. book your car park space in advance for 30euros. the apartments are well equipped with microwave and 2 electric rings, a fridge and plenty of utensils. it was clean and warm. you do have to make your own beds up on arrival and at the end strip them off. but you only have to clean the kitchen area and do washing up and take rubbish out. so just pack a basic cleaning kit or buy from the supermarket next door. you do not have to clean the toilet! which I was dreading! there is only French tv but you do get Wi-Fi free for one device (it sometimes worked for two). we are definitely going to book again for next year. smells? I only smelt a bit of cooking sometimes and it was nice anyway. there was a bit of a whiff of ciggies sometimes, but hey you are in france ! beds were ok, not luxury but for a week were fine. I would highly recommend this place for budget skiers who are not expecting luxury. we loved it.…
Accommodation is in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite some other reviews, the room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely book again! The only obvious area for improvement is the boot room - it would be great if these were heated. Cold wet boots in the morning is not ideal!
Les Bluets is a basic Pierre et Vacances property located in Mottaret. However, it offers excellent value for money - particularly in low season. Tips: - The 'studio 4 people cabin' room was comfortable for a couple. I imagine that they would be fine for a smaller / younger family (this would involve 2 in bunk beds, with 2 on the roll out sofa trundle) - We needed to clean the room at the end of the week. Cleaning products are a little overpriced in resort - Ask for parking if you need it - the residence parking is covered and right next to the hotel. - Bedding was pretty basic.
The hotel is very basic (which is fine) we didn't expect anything else. What I didn't expect was the awful smell! The guests rubbish is stored in a room at the top of the stairs and the smell is awful! Wifi was good in the rooms. The rooms were extremely hot. I understand that the hotels needs to be kept warm but wow! My son and I was also bit by some sort of insect in the room quite a few times over the week we stayed. Unfortunately we would not visit this hotel again.
Great location in the heart of Meribel Mottaret, 2 minute walk to the piste. There are ski hire shops, a supermarket, cafes and restaurants in Mottaret. There is a bus every 30 mins to Meribel centre, easy enough to get to. Accommodation itself is basic but clean. Good value and would stay again.
