The setting of this B&B is very quiet and homey feeling. Kathy the owner was the best in every way. The breakfasts were excellent with all the choices you wanted. We really liked the town of Bonnieux so quaint and very old. We would return for another stay.

Returning a few years after our first visit we were every bit as pleased with this wonderful home from home just outside Bonnieux. Hostess Kathy Herssens treats all guests as if they are friends at her home, which in effect they become! Spacious cosy rooms, lovely decor, a beuatiful pool in typical provencal landscape, with sun well into the evenings... More

Our family just returned from a wonderful trip to France & Maison Valvert was definitely the highlight. Cathy & Pierre were gracious hosts. The maison is charming, beautiful & relaxing; even better than the pictures! It's the perfect place to stay in Provence. We will definitely return on our next trip & highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful setting. Quiet. One can sit on the terrace or by the pool and look out across the Luberon watching the light change and understand why painters came here to capture the magical quality. Oh yes, there are so many things to do in an hour's drive: charming villages, incredible dining, Roman ruins, seeing the same views that were captured... More

At the end of last summer we spent some days at Maison Valvert and absolutely loved it. It keeps making us smile whenever we think of this lovely place. Cathy is a very pleasant and gracious host. Her hospitality is amazing. She takes pride in everything she does. Thanks Cathy for all your information about the neighbourhood and restaurants. Especially... More

We have spent the last 4 years trying to find a B&B in France that is up to par with Maison Valvert and as yet have to find one. People looking for a quiet, luscious and welcoming place should look no further, as Flemish hosts Cathy and Pierre excert themselves to make your stay pleasant ànd memorable. Lavish breakfast with... My boyfriend and I stayed last july in Maison Valvert for a week. We know the surroundings quite well and love the luberon; the nature, the little beautiful villages and their markets. But also the nice restaurants... We have been in several hotels, B&B's in the luberon but never we felt so relaxed and welcomed as in Maison Valvert. The... More

This great place is of course not an official 'Leading Hotel of the World', but for me... it is. Remote, with honest luxury and top food. Charming place with correct pricing. The world needs more 'Maison Valvert'.

I just read the previous review and could not disagree more - Maison Valvert is a fabulous place!! For me, on vacation from my somewhat stressful job in New York and my parents (Australians in their sixties), this was just what we were looking for. We stayed here last week and from the moment we arrived to the moment we... More

OK if I had paid 100 euros a night I would have been quite happy. But wait, I paid close to 300 euros a night so I should be expecting some service and not be in front of a very strange type of boarding school where the owner makes you feel like you're doing something wrong every time you get...
