This place is small, but every detail is crafted with good taste. The rooms/suites are nicely decorated and the surrounding is picture perfect. I certainly recommend it for everyone: couples, families, singles alike. The tables are set with good taste, the breakfast is a real experience. The staff, however, sometimes get offended, if you don't feel like trying the kitchen's... More

We stayed the first week in July, just before things got to busy on il de re. Stayed in room 2, ground floor courtyard room which was lovely and always warm/hot. Staff were friendly and attentive, Remi is worth a mention in particular, always on hand when needed. The hotel had a real feel of quality and was exactly what... More

We were looking for a special vacation in France that would be away from the traditional US tourist areas. Il de Re was the perfect destination and we chose Hotel de Toiras since it was a Relais and Chateau property. When we arrived, the staff was waiting outside to greet us. Without any comment, they upgraded us to a Junior... More

The hotel is extremely well located being adjacent to the harbour. The staff are attentive and charming. The chef creates wonderful food from a surprisingly small kitchen which you can view from the restaurant rather like a chefs table experience. Will be returning

Hotel de Toiras is in a great spot. It has an authentic history, but the attention to detail is. Issuing. It doesn't have the local knowledge needed for a small town and as a Relais And Chateaux establishment, is a bit of a disappointment, especially given the price of accommodation. However, the bright star of St A Martin de re... More

Fantastic location, beautiful hotel, friendly staff, very comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfasts and evening meals. Breakfast is served until midday which was very much appreciated as we wanted to relax. We felt very much at home here and will return.

We took room "Evangeline", 2nd floor, immediately overlooking the quayside. Great views, pleasant (low) sounds of passer`s by, early morning sun through the porthole in the "tower". Everything in the room was perfect, especially cleanliness and housekeeping. Large shower, and separate loo, were appreciated. Breakfasts in the garden on white linen with everything in perfect fresh condition, and polite, friendly... More

Stayed four nights at Hotel de Torias to celebrate a milestone birthday. Arrived late after a traumatic journey because the following day was a public holiday. We were met by sympathetic staff who relieved us of all checking in procedures and recommended a suitable restaurant to recover after our long day. The hotel is ideally located in a picturesque port... More

Yes, it's worth it. Perfect hotel in a perfect location. The team at the hotel couldn't do enough to ensure that we made the most of our long weekend in Il de Re, from recommendations for lunch, dinner, cycle hire, shopping, beaches, nothing was too much trouble.
