Although a little late, actually just past 9, the kitchen had run out of moules, opted for croque monsieur which was overpriced (although to be fair, you do pay a premium to eat and drink in St Martin), food quality poor, although expectations weren't high and we didn't expect a fine dining experience. The service however was the most begrudging service ever encountered without the slightest hint of a smile, and knives and forks etc dumped on the table. Drinks arrived after a prolonged period of cleaning activity taking place behind the bar, including taking a half full bottle of water from one of the tables, topping it back up with more water and putting it in the fridge for the next lucky diner. Fortunately, we were not offered any water ! A smile or two and a good atmosphere would have helped, in which case we could have accepted the restaurant for what it is, however poor food, poor value served up with a poor attitude ? More
