Brilliant location for huge sandy beach, and within close walking distance of several good cafes and restaurants. The hotel hires out very comfortable bikes, perfect for exploring the island and will also make up a picnic basket for you. The owners and staff were very helpful and keen to please. It was our first trip to the island and when... More

We stayed here for two nights midweek on a brief visit to Ile de re'. The rooms were spotless, had a lovely bath shower arrangement and the bed was firm and comfortable, a daily maid service was also very much in evidence. Uniquely, I think, for a French hotel, 24hr tea and coffee making facilities were available in a tea... More

We stayed for 2 nigths in this place and loved the relaxed atmosphere of it. We had a very nice corner room (they are all built around 2 swimming pools), although the hotel was fully booked, it never felt so.. We could take our breakfast on our small terrace, which we liked a lot. On top this place proves to... More

Similar to a lot of hotels on Ile de Re with rooms set around a swimming pool. Parking was limited but additional parking was available a few minutes away. Some rooms had street parking outside and the window gave easy access although you always had to leave via the main hotel entrance when locking up. Rooms were good and comfortable... More

Changes from last visit. Upgraded TV's so we could watch Murray lose the French open! Later closing so you now have a aperitif there before supper and a fish, meat or cheese plate offering for a very reasonable €9 so no need to leave the pool if you don't want to. On the negative side jazz music started playing in... More

We first visited in May and loved it so much we decided to return at the end of the season. Even after a full summer the hotel was still as fresh and welcoming as before. The chic decor and the calm atmosphere make this a most relaxing break, we can't wait to go back next spring.

I don't think there can be a nicer place to stay on Ile de Re. After extensive research on Trip Advisor we booked 4 nights at Les Bois Flottais, ended up staying 5 and would have happily extended our stay more had the hotel not been fully booked for most of the summer season which is testament to what a... We love this place. Couple of things have changed since last year. The info in rooms are in English as well now and reception open until 9.00pm which is welcomed. The Wi-Fi still needs work as dips in and out frequently, you cannot get all the tv channels you list and if you made the bike hire charges in line... More

This is our second stay in Les Bois Flottais off season, in November. We strongly recommend this place because: - it is a really typical Ile de Ré home: no first floor, subdued colours and natural materials. - the bedrooms and their sophisticated and yet cosy decoration are welcoming and kept super clean. You feel at home very soon. -... More
