A lovely setting in the centre of the village, opposite the church with its famous spire, it also has a clock, so if quiet is important ask for a room at the back or in the annexe. This is a simple hotel, so make sure you know what to expect before you go. It is clean and comfortable with a...

We stayed here for two nights and were very happy with our experience. The hotel is right in the centre of Ars en Re, across the square from the church. We didn't find the bells too intrusive. We got great recommendations for restaurants from the staff. We ate in a local place right on the beach on the first night...

Stayed last year for 3 nights over a long weekend, was probably the best place I have ever stayed at, it simple, charming and a fantastic location. The owner gave great tips of where the best beaches were, best restaurant and hidden bars. I would recommend this to everyone.

We stayed here for 4 nights this August in a family room. The room was compact but stylish. No frills (hairdryer, minibar, air con, safe, tea/coffee etc). The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant wasn't bad. We preferred the breakfast at the patisserie across the road but hotel breakfast was ok. We had room #5 which opened directly onto...

Based on some of the reviews I was a little concerned about our stay here. When I booked for a family of four there was one room left. Ground floor and described when we booked as "very small" (room 23) it was a small double with toilet / shower and small twin room. Clean and functional and quiet (no noise...

The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. We were overlooking the square, which was our downfall as it was very noisy below in the bar until midnight and then the church bells rang every hour throughout the night. The view from the room was great though.

Located on the church square, it has a lot of charm but actually some "disadvantages" (the church rings every hour).. Charline & Xavier Duval, propriétaires

I picked the hotel for its location and because it looked welcoming and enticing. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room (No. 9) was small but adequate, the bed comfortable, the decor a little tired, but the bathroom was shabby. It is relatively early in the season so bathroom mould shouldn't be there, and there is no excuse for...

Busy time but, as a couple who hadn't booked, we were made welcome. Simple but stylish & clean. Good location & good food available in lively square. Popular. Owner/manager likeable and with dry sense of humour. Internet access in rooms could be problem (1st room had it, 2nd room zilch!) However… think it's available down in bar/restaurant. Separate review for...

Very conveniently located hotel in the square opposite the church. A wonderful location as there was something going on most evenings which was very atmospheric. Jazz band one night and a lovely light show another. The hotel bar was great, good breakfast and service. Sadly we didn't eat an evening meal there as there were so many restaurants to choose...

We had rooms 9&10, perfect for families with 2 children as the rooms are in a separated corridor. No wifi in the rooms, but downstairs in the restaurant. If you are lucky, you can park your car on one of the 3 free parkings next to the hotel (turn left after the hotel), otherwise free parkings outside the centre (5min...
