Just 4 miles away from Rennes this hotel is lovely and quiet. Converted from a water mill and therefore sits on the river. Thus providing tranquil views of river and trees. We checked in to room 14 which has been described as a suite, it is but don't get too excited, for the price it is good value and all... More

Stayed for just one night. Lovely hotel and very polite staff who take every effort to converse with you in both English and French. Large rooms with good shower facilities and very comfortable beds. Fantastic meal in the restaurant for the evening and the breakfast. Would recommend and stay again.

This 3 star hotel in a bucolic environment and with very friendly service offers an escape from the not too attractive center of Rennes. It is also a great point for excursions to nearby castles like Vitré and Fougeres. Its restaurant is a well known place among locals. The wifi though free did not work in the rooms, only at... More

A VERY good hotel. Big room with a seating area and terrace. Very nice and helpful staff. A good restaurant , with guest from all the area. Quiet location, with a big park around and water channels. To wake up with the birds singing. The best place to stay when you are visiting VITRÉ and RENNES

15 minutes from the centre of Rennes by car and an easy ride by bus, Le Germinal was a real find. The hotel is situated by the River Vilaine and was an oasis of calm. Just spent a night at this little hotel. Located in an outer suburb of Rennes it is quiet. There is an amazing public garden around the corner well worth a visit but really nothing mush else of note. Perfect stop though on the way to somewhere else. Good sized room and bathroom for Europe, clean and with comfortable beds. The... More

Stayed here en route to visit our friends in France. Our Room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the river below. The view was charming and the village of Cesson-Sevigne is very pretty with beautiful flowers everywhere at this time of year. We were well looked after and chose to dine in their restaurant. Can totally recommend as the food... More
