This was our 5th mini break to Brittany/Normandy. Our earlier trips were lovely. Unfortunately La Granitiere let us down badly. We had contacted Isabelle to find out check in times, she said she would telephone to say if we could go in at 12.30pm but failed to do so. When we arrived at 2pm the doors were firmly shut &... Warm and welcoming, lovely proprietor and staff. Small car park in front, 100 metre walk to town centre and restaurants. The garden is pretty and the whole place is like staying in a small chateau. We will return

La Granitiere has recently changed, but remains pretty much as per our previous visits over the past two decades. Welcome as warm as usual but Isabelle does, however, have amuch better command of English and couln't have been more helpful. Large pleasant and comfortable rooms with big windows - a bit old-fashioned perhaps but none the worse for that. Straightforward... More

We were welcomed very warmly by Isabelle who gave us information on St Vaast from the local tourist board and took us to our comfortable room on the first floor. Breakfast is very good, plenty to eat, a choice of breads including local artisanal loaves, and the usual cereals, fruit, juice, ham, cheese and an excellent selection of preserves. Good... More

Initial view was that of a nice off road hotel, looking a little tired with faded red blinds, with parking for about 5 cars with a very tight entrance. A non smoking hotel with a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. Welcome was friendly. Access code given to keypad for 're entry although everybody's room key that were... More

We checked in about 5.30pm after visiting Cherbourg. Isabelle was very welcoming. The room and bathroom was a bit dated but our beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay again when we are travelling in Normandy.

We stayed here with friends last weekend. Madame looked after us very nicely from the moment we arrived at this very French hotel.Due to the strike and the fuel shortage a lot of the restaurants in St Vaast were closed but she found one that was open(La Bisquine) and made reservations for us by telephone. Breakfast was excellent quality with... More

A very typical French hotel. The proprietor really gives a super warm welcome, nothing is too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast, using super I ingredients. Private off road parking. Short walk to the restuarants.

We liked it here because it was quintessentially French. The bar/dining room was warm, welcoming and nicely furnished and the breakfast table served locally sourced produce. Our bedroom was airy and clean, had a nice balcony, and we quite liked the jadedness of it. Madame (who has only been there 9 months) had character and charm. There was a safe... More

Beautifully furnished, comfortable, relaxing hotel, that is close to the town centre. Extremely handy off road, secure parking. Lovely welcoming atmosphere and we both look forwards to a return visit. Thank you.
