Lovely hotel in a quiet area. If you have difficulty with stairs request a ground floor room as stairs are steep and narrow. Very comfortable bedrooms with plenty of space. Easy parking and easy walk to beach and town
We stayed here out of season but we’re blessed with glorious sunshine all week. The hotel is very well presented and the room we had was large, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The shower room was clean and modern with everything you could need. We had a garden and sea view. The breakfast has a good continental choice of cooked meats, cheeses, fruit, cereals, pastries, yoghurts and also bacon and scrambled eggs. A little pricey perhaps, but nevertheless great quality. There is a small bar serving a variety of drinks, we tried the locally brewed beer, it was delicious. You couldn’t ask for a warmer welcome by the staff, what lovely people they are. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Arromanches les Bains is a short walk away and there is easy access by foot to all the town has to offer. Could it be improved? Yes, perhaps with an evening meal option, because some of the restaurants in town are pretty poor.…
We were delighted with this hotel. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The bar serves some lovely local beer - recommended. The room was very comfortable, and clean and tastefully decorated. We had a lovely big bed and nice pillows and bedding. A good selection of quality items were provided in the room, toiletries, coffee, tea and water. the shower was great with good pressure and a deluge head. At a small extra rate per night we were able to bring our small dog with us too which was fantastic for us. Some unexpected March sunshine meant we were able to enjoy sitting out on the comfortable garden furniture in the afternoons. This place is really convenient for walking to the attractions and restaurants of Arromanches. We enjoyed La Marine restaurant in town as recommended by the hotel for two of our three nights. The breakfast was lovely, fresh bread, croissants, cheese and meats. Loads of choice served in a beautiful breakfast room, Cannot fault this hotel at all and we will return.…
The location is exactly as the pictures, very clean and very comfortable. The bed and the pillows are of great quality, the room is a good size, nice toiletries as well. Breakfast is of good quality, coffee is great. The windows of the room though are a bit high and narrow. I chose a room with view but so it didn't matter much because it was difficult to see anything. But this was a minor thing, otherwise everything was perfect. Too bad they don't have a restaurant because the one they recommended, La Marine, din not meet our expectations.
Clean, quiet and very helpful staff. And fluent in English. Flexible and eager tot help you with every wish or question you may have. Remarkable in France: they serve (offcourse) nice wine but also very good local crafted beer. And don’t forget to ask for suggestions where to eat or buy good Calvados. In the end: they deserve my full very positive recommdation!
Stayed here for 2 nights during a week in Normandy and Picardy. It's a lovely old building situated 500 metres from the seafront and beach. 10 minutes walk into the town centre. Room was small but perfectly clean and airy (despite the very hot weather). Breakfast was excellent. The outside space was great too with a good patio and seats and well maintained garden.
It was a great time. We would stay here again and highly recommend it for any future visitors to this area. The host was so pleasant, hospitable and helpful. Having a glass of wine sitting next to the fireplace was a great end to our evening
Loved this hotel -- staff welcoming and informative . Stayed here for our visit to Arromanches, Gold Beach , D.Day British landing beach. A beautiful walk down into Arromanches and the beach and museum. Our room was modern and comfortable looking out over the beautiful gardens. Would definitely recommend this hotel for visiting Bayeaux , the Cathedral and British Cemetery. The hotel itself has a history of it's own.
A very nice, low key, quiet hotel. Clean rooms and located right in the heart of Arromanches. Nice European style breakfast presented each day. Had first floor room that emptied out onto a nice patio area where you could sit and enjoy a cafe or drink from their bar. Downside is that they do not have a restaurant, for dinner, but many good ones are located a short walk down the road in the middle of town.
The hotel is in a great location. A short walk to the beach and views of what is left of the Mulberry Harbor. A short drive to Bayeau and local sites. Very clean rooms with modern bathrooms, recently renovated and done very well
