Ginterhof was perfect for our family of four. Our room was actually an apartment with two bedrooms - one for us and one for the kids. We could see the mountains from the balcony outside our bedroom. It was quiet and very comfortable. Annalies is the perfect hostess - she is friendly and know the area very well. She had... More

Annalies and her family made our 2 day stay in Austria one of the best ever. We will definitely be coming back to Austria and staying at Gintherhof. She made us feel right at home and gave us great ideas to explore the surrounding area. The room was very clean and down beds extra comfortable. The area Gintherhof is located... More

Gintherhof was one of the highlights of our entire vacation. It is located near the picturesque Alps in a 500 year old house. Annelies was generous and kind with so much care for her guests. My seven year old daughter especially loved our stay, helping to feed the family cow, bringing her back from the pasture and spending time with... More

We just returned from a trip to Germany and Austria, and all agree that the Gintherhof was our favorite lodging of all! Annelies and her family were so welcoming and warm that we felt comfortable and at home immediately! My mom speaks German, and very much enjoyed speaking with Annelies's family, but all of us could easily understand Annelies as... More

Our room was spacious, sunny, clean and comfortable. Our host, Annalies, was so friendly, helpful, welcoming, and spoke Engish very well. Her family also welcomed us into their home. The breakfast had so many options and it was all delicious - many different fresh breads, cheeses, meats, homemade jams, fruit, juice, yogurts, coffee and tea - even eggs made to... More

We recently completed a two week jaunt from Venice up to Frankfurt. We stayed in a variety of different places along the way. Our three nights at Gintherhof was, by far, our best lodging of the trip. Not only was it the most inexpensive place in which we stayed, but it was also the most pleasant. Our hosts were very... More

During our two week stay in Europe, we stayed in 6 different places, and the quaint Gintherhof was by far our favorite! My husband and I even tried to extend our 2 night stay for one more night, but the place was all booked up! Annelies works extremely hard and treats you as an old friend and is genuinely interested... More

What a terrific choice! Reutte is a wonderful staging point for not only the Austrian Tyrol but also many of the sights of southern Bavaria. And Gintherhof is amazing. The warmth and friendliness of Annalies and her family, the welcoming tea and homemade cake and the amazing breakfasts, the comfortable room and home with delightful Tyrolean décor--all make for a... We were traveling to several European countries and wanted to experience the Austrian Alps. Annaliese and her family were very cordial, helpful, and extended what we know in the states as Southern hospitality. Annaliese definitely goes the extra mile in providing transportation and information regarding local events. Her residence is in the heart of the Alps and such a wonderful... More
