I had been to this hotel before, merely to look up some friends who were staying there. This time I decided to allow myself a relaxing break from working elsewhere in Nicaragua. I was very happy with my decision. A lot of valid points have been made about this hotel already, and I would just add that the owners manage... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We stayed for 4 nights. It was quiet and calm, just what we were looking for. Hotel staff was helpful and polite. The patio area was nice, great for sitting and reading a book. Breakfast was complete and delicious.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. Our trip was planned by Nica Adventures (who we highly recommend). This hotel was absolutely beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast that was included was amazing. I recommend the fruit plate - you get the best local produce all on one plate! We didn't know there... More

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and it was lovely. The rooms are not spacious but are well equipped and with the sights that Granada was to offer, you wouldn't want to stay in your room anyway. The room was modern, clean and had good air conditioning The breakfasts were also very good, with the all staff we... More

Patio del Malinche was GREAT. The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful. Really just top rate. The entire time I felt like I was in some kind of movie set. I couldn't believe just how perfect everything looked. The lounge area, the pool, stunning. The staff was fantastic. They were VERY VERY helpful in helping us book taxis and tours. The... More

Personally, I did not enjoy Granada. It wasn't the city for me. I saw a lot of crime, and did not feel comfortable in a lot of situations. However, this hotel is the city's one saving grace. The room is simple and comfortable. The courtyard is nice and the pool area is lovely. I saw the staff testing the pool... More

This hotel was great. It was located very close to not only Lake Nicaragua but the city center. The breakfast was incredible as well as the staff who answered all of our questions with a smile. The room and hotel itself was beautiful. I would definitely stay again if I ever find myself in Granada for another vacation.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The owners and the staff are wonderful and so accommodating! They made my entire study abroad group feel right at home. It is definitely a luxury hotel and one of the best in the area. The rooms are air conditioned with cable television and hot water. There is a pool and a wonderful breakfast menu.... More

This place is so cute. Super clean for Nicaragua standards, for sure! And price was great. Stayed at plenty of places in my three visits to Nicaragua and this is by far the nicest at the best price and location. Very charming and nice Spanish details in the rooms and decor! Right next to everything. Loved it!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner. ... more   less
