This hotel is very conveniently located right on the Calzada and only a block or two from the Cathedral and town square. We had the antic room and it more than did the job. We even had a little terrace a few steps from our door. Our room also had air conditioning which was great after a long day outside.... More

First, we had a small and dark room in the attic. It was a bit dusty and didn't worth the price. But the next morning, the manager offer us a big room on the ground floor which was much nicer ! Though it is important to know that some room don't have any windows and could be quite noisy. Anyway,... More

We could talk about the spacious rooms, high ceilings, authentic building, great location (keep in mind the noise that can accompany the central location) classic decor & great rocking chairs but really Sherman shines through above all this. The hulking man greets you like old friend and if your lucky maybe an arm wrestle! Full of wisdom about Granada you... More

I stayed at this quaint colonial style B&B and I loved it. It is conveniently located and the staff is very friendly and informative. I especially enjoyed singing a Japanese song "sukiyaki" (I'm Japanese) with a staff member Sherman and talking about Japanese stuff. Apparently he has interacted with JICA volunteers and even hosted Japanese embassy for an event at... More

I have been traveling through Central America for the past month and this is by far my best hotel experience on this trip. The place is adorable, and extremely clean with AC and fantastic showers (hot water!!). The location is about as good as you can get. The staff is amazing - Octavio is extremely helpful and Sherman is hilarious.... More

After an unpleasant first night in a hostel in Granada, we packed our bags and found this gem of a place. Centrally located on a pedestrian street, near great restaurants and bars, and just down the block from the cathedral and central plaza. Sherman the night manager (who likes to wax poetic) offered us a great rate on a spectacular... More

Was planning on staying 4 nights, but when we arrived late to check in knew we'd be looking for another place to stay the next day. Place is very cool, an old colonial house renovated to a hotel. The bad? Walls are paper thin and the hotel is situated right on the Main Street, so you hear every honk and... More

Dear guest: Casa San Martin is a very old colonial builiding, for that reason its walls are as original as they were made more than 100 years ago, 1 meter wide, it is true that some of the rooms are facing a little street( not the main street) and to conserve its colonial arquitecture we can not change the doors... The hot water was not reliable but the service couldn't be beat! Free breakfast with the room, and they made it fresh whenever we woke up (didn't have to be out in the dining area by a certain time) there was always fresh coffee available and the staff was helpful and friendly.

I have been to this hotel many times and every time I come to Granada I stay there; why? Ambiance, well situated, excellent service from the owner Javier and his right hand Sherman. Besides, breakfast is gourmet and its location is the entrance to peatonal La Calzada. I will never regret my staying there.
