We absolutely loved this hostel; as a family run hostel we felt completely welcome and at home. One of our party misplaced his phone and the entire body of staff searched up and down, all around the hostel and even outside. When we found it the staff were overjoyed and their endless, tireless efforts were outstanding. It instantly made us... More

Well... there were no rooms or beds in all the other (an better) hostels around so we went there, thank god i found a free room in another hostel next morning. broken beds, filthy bathrooms that you can't lock... a few dollars more you can find something better easily. the only good thing there is the morning shuttle to Laguna... I stayed here on the basis of the Lonely Planet review and the fact that shuttles from here to the Lagoona Apoyo are meant to be cheaper for guests. The place was OK and cheap at $6 a dorm, but had zero atmosphere. There are a few hammocks around a courtyard and you can relax here, but people kept to... More

We arrived here with no reservations, stayed in a 10 bed dorm for $8 pp. When shown the room the door fell off its hinges. There was no way to lock it. My friend and I were both given top bunks, the girl below mine said it was broken and wouldn't stay up... she was right when we did a... More

other places were full so ended up here. Quiet and a lacking any kind of atmosphere, me and my boyfriend stayed in different bunk beds in the dorm- I woke up with 50 plus bites and my boyfriend had even more. This place is riddled with bed bugs. Toilets and shower in an outside courtyard all very run down and... More

We stayed here and there wasnt not many peoples. And it was cheappest hostel in the town. Like all reviews here before, there were many suspected staffs(dont know who works there. Seems they work or friends of staff, the owner?) And our room was private. In the backyard. Dont know how they opened the door. Or they touched the little... More

Reccomended by book but obviously not the same. We took off and locked our room, only to find a few small but important items stolen. They're the only ones with keys so one could assume.. When we walked in we should have taken note that nobody else was staying there..

This was the worst hostel I've been to in my life and I can't believe the it's in the LP! Apart from be dirty and deserted, also money got stolen from my locker. I knew exactly how much was in there because I had just been to the ATM. I strongly suspect the staff members being involved because there was... More

I stayed 2 nights there because dorm # 2 has quite confortable beds and it's pretty fresh to sleep, that's why I prefered this and not Back Yard instead which has pool but hotter dorms and unconfortable beds. Despite that fact, Bathrooms are dirty and toilet didn't work or was stock some times. Kitchen is so small and it's not... More

I arrived in the afternoon and at night there was an electricity problem. The hostel was all dark and no candles or anything were provided. The two doors were left open, so anyone could enter the hostel. Did not feel safe to me at all! I had put all of my money in a locker with my own lock. In... More
