HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2016

We just spent a week at Hotel Colonial and had the most amazing vacation!!! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so wonderful! We had two rooms #11 with the loft and #27 with a balcony and kitchenette. We spent a lot of time in the pools, which were very clean and refreshing. The pool bar was cute &... More

I enjoyed the Hotel Colonial very much and would recommend it. Granda is quiet and fascinating. i would highly recommend it. Plenty to see at a rather olde world pace. it seems that tourism in Granada has been pinpointed as a way of furthering Nicaragua tourism.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times becuase of the super practic location. Almost in front of the Central Park and that is very convinient. The bad thing is that the service is bad, actually it is not existing. The front desk are always very slow and I am always expecting that they do not have time... More

Great location, great staff! We had a very comfortable and clean room on the first floor of the hotel - adjacent to the larger of the two pools. Our room was always cool, a/c worked great and the location of the room kept it out of the sun. Breakfast was fantastic, sometimes the breakfast was a little crowded due to... More

The Colonial is a converted Monastery, beautifully done with lots of antiques every where. The room was great but the breakfast left a little to be desired. Granada is a lovely city with a wonderful history. But the highlight is Lake Nicaragua, we had a marvellous boat trip around the lake, seeing many of the hundreds of islands, which are... More

We came here with Costa Rica Monkey Tours. Tourism is not as developed here as it is in Costa Rica, but from what I can tell, this is one of the nicest places in Granada. If you are already traveling to the country, then you should have an idea of what to expect from the infrastructure. This hotel does everything... More

This will be my third year taking a large group of college students to Nicaragua and the third time staying in the Hotel Colonial. I do not even consider any other hotels in the Granada area because my past experiences have been marvelous. Can't wait to stay here again at the end of june.
