They are currently losing most of their open space which gives the hostel its charm and, I'm told, are having problems with their weak position with the site owner - their landlord - and their ability to run the hostel. This may be contributing to their management/hospitality problems. They are nice enough people but not hospitable in an industry sense.... More

It's a nice place with some potential but badly needs some work. They are walling-off the garden, which will kill what little ambient light that comes in. The doors are typical, just a little hot at night with insufficient fans. Also: two small bathrooms are not enough for for that place. And little things need work; door knobs rattle, the... More

I should say that they were very friendly, like they were my family and the hostel is beautiful. You can take shower between parrots and turtles :) like youare showering under a waterfall. Lots of space and quiet environment. Everyone was helping each other, if you are looking for some real vibe in a hostel they have that but I... More

As a backpacker (Dutch woman, 26 years old) I would recommend this hostel. It is a calm hostel, with lots of space, nice garden with hammocks, simple but good bathroom and with a very good location (only a few minutes from central park and the yellow church). It is really cheap, it is clean, has good wifi and big lockers.... More

After one night in a common hostel I found La Floresta and felt immediately at home. I loved the old town palace atmosphere, the decoration, the genuine atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff - Merced and Roger. The quietness, the parrots, the secret corners... I felt at home and decided to stay longer in Granada just because of it. No... More

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff made us feel like family. It was close enough to everything to walk but far enough away as to be away from the weekend festivities that were rather loud. Victor and Katalena allowed us to use their restaurant for our meetings which was very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and COOL and the breakfast was... More

We were the only guests and there was plenty of space and the staff was very nice and helpful. I can see though that the 2 shared bathrooms can be not enough when the hostal is full. The kitchen is small but superclen, the little forest and the animals give a special touch to the place. There's always a nice... More

Best value. Very friendly staff and slightly off the beaten track. Great for travelers who prefer some peace and quiet over partying. Rustic vibe. Simple facilities with outdoor kitchen and dining with some friendly and talkative parrots. The turtles don't say much.

A cozy hostel, nice people, close from the main plaza, very good price, pretty quiet at night, rooms are cleaned as well as the bathroom (not private bathrooms). at the back there is an open area where you can go a read a book or just rest. there are also hammocks, free coffee and good wifi

I booked only one night in this hostel because I thought it would be easy to stay longer. Unfortunately a big group had made a reservation and I couldn't stay for the coming nights. However, I could leave all my stuff in their lockers and look for another place without pressure. Big plus: they let me come and work in... More
