Il Padrino is perfectly located to explore Granada - it's just 2 or 3 blocks from the central park and cathedral, but is still super quiet. Everything in Granada is well within walking distance, but just spend a few moments chatting to the highly knowledgeable Gaby - she knows nearly everything (and everyone) in Granada and is certain to be... Steve is the executive chef and hales from New York by way of many exotic destinations. Our dinner was fantastic featuring some of the best pork barbecue that I've ever had in spite of having lived in the BBQ capitol's of the US. The most amazing thing was Chef Steve's phenomenal chocolate mousse. The only words to describe this amazing... More

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. On arrival we were greeted by Gaby who is a ray of sunshine. Her warm smile was so welcoming. The hotel is quiet and has a warm atmosphere. The rooms are surrounding a garden courtyard. We were additionally welcomed by Milan the resident Dalmatian puppy. Our room was private an in a... More

We spent a night at the Il Padrino last week, and all I can say is I wish we had stayed longer! Gaby checked us into a room in the back with a large bed and immaculately clean bathroom. After getting settled in we were informed that they were hosting a soft opening of their new restaurant that night, and... More

Great place to stay in Granada. Gaby was so very helpful, lining up tours and transportation to and from the Hotel. Our room was large and looked out to the garden. Good location. Easy to access to Plaza.

The hotel was nice and comfortable. Everything was clean and there was a nice laid back feel. The host was very friendly and even bought our dinner the first night, all of the staff was helpful as well. Good location we were able to easily walk to all of the attractions we wanted to see. The rates were very affordable... More

The hotel is located near Granada's main sites, only a few blocks away from the cathedral but in a quite street. The owners (special mention to Gabi, she was superb) are super nice and tehy provide great advice in terms of where to eat in town. They were super helpful also in helping us arrange our transportation from Granada to... More

This was a very pretty hotel in a good location for all the sights, bars and restaurants in Granada. Gaby, the manager, was very pleasant and helpful. However there were a few things which detracted from the hotel. The lights in our room were very dim and there was only one bedside light. Our room opened out onto a very... More

A unique hotel with minimally furnished rooms and adequate bathrooms facing a courtyard garden with vintage common areas, close to Conventoy Museo San Fransico and all that Granada has to offer, yet just far enough from the center to be quiet with the exception of the rooster next door. . Rooms have high ceilings and are cooled with an overhead... More

Having never been to Nicaragua, I booked Il Padrino based on reviews. I was not disappointed. Gabby is a wonderful hostess and Milan, the Dalmation puppy is too cute for words. The location is great, easy walk to everything. The rooms are clean and neat. The rooms do not have AC but do have nice ceiling fans. I was there... More
