Mansion De Chocolate is located in the center of Granada and is housed in the largest intact surviving colonial mansion of Granada. It comprises five courtyard gardens, each with its own distinctive flavor. Decorated with edgy modern furnishings, Mansion De Chocolate has the feeling of a hip modern hotel in an authentic colonial setting, creating a unique blending of the modern and the traditional. Always benefiting from the breezes from Lake Cocibolca, the large shared balconies provide an ideal vantage point from which to watch the glorious Nicaraguan sunsets. You'll enjoy refreshing yourself in the hotel's 60 foot swimming pool in a flowery patio with bar and relaxing in our ChocoSpa, where we offer treatments based on cacao and chocolate. In our ChocoMuseo we offer you a daily all you can eat breakfast buffet and delicious chocolate products. Do the 'from bean to bar workshop' and you'll learn a lot about chocolate and its history, flavor and benefits.

We booked Mansion de Chocolate at short notice and had a really good stay, especially during challenging times with Covid. The staff were really friendly and helped us make a reservation for a Cacao body massage which was AMAZING! Room was very spacious and quiet and honestly way exceed our expectations. The location is ideal, on a quiet street but close to the main square and great cafes/restaurants. Only drawbacks is that the pool area didn't really look open and breakfast included was basic enough. But the café's in the hotel looked really good. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning when things get back to normal.

After eight years coming to Granada and having seen this Hotel, it was an opportunity (a great rate without breakfast included) to stay at Mansion de Chocolate apartment unit for 30 days. The room was large with an ensuite bathroom, hot water in the shower and air conditioning. For a room of this size it had a king size bed, writing desk area, microwave and basic utilities but no fridge. The pool area had sufficient loungers during our stay but would not be enough if booked with more guests; definitely, the Hotel has seen better days and needs maintenance, which was underway. On a very plus side, the staff was wonderful, helpful and going out of their way to please remembering our preferences for breakfast and other wishes. The location of the hotel is ideal and close to central park. The hotel is more positioned for short stays and younger generations, locals from Managua or Costa Rica than for retirees looking for a different level of comfort.

We stayed at The Mansion de Chocolate and really loved it. Elizabeth who works at the front desk was in contact with us before arrival. We got to meet her and she was a jewel. She spoke great English and helped us while we there and even after we checked out. Flor was the gal behind the little bar out back by the pool. She worked so hard from morning to night making her fresh fruit cocktails and delicious food. The bar is small but had a tranquil feel and Flor made us feel most welcome and also spoke English. Each room is different and eclectic, the beds were comfortable and the guys that work in the Chocolate Museum were very friendly. New Years was exciting, fireworks and firecrackers were abundant, what a fun night to be there! Thanks to all at the Maison de Chocolate ( especially Elizabeth !)

We only visited the museum but we had an amazing time! The guide had our group singing, dancing and generally having a ball. After 5 hours on the tour bus, our guide at the chocolate factory really brought the energy up and made our visit to the chocolate factory one of our highlights of Nicaragua. Amazing experience that I can't suggest enough. The chocolate rum is AMAZING and the body butter was excellent.

Kevin was awesome, it was like a fun dance party (we all literally sang, clapped and danced) for parents and kids, we learned about chocolate production and left with some amazing treats. If in Granada don’t miss out on this experience!!
