After more than 20 times in Thailand, this is the first time i,m so disappointed with a hotel. When you pay 90 euro per night in a 4 star hotel in Thailand, you expect a certain standing. This resort is in full renovation all of it everywhere all day long. We spent 16 nights, hearing builders all day long in the front of our room. The rooms are dated with rusted lamps and mold in the bathroom. You have to call the front desk EVERYDAY to get shampoo, soap, coffee and clean beach towels. There is no restaurant (under construction) and the "place" where they serve breakfast is maybe good enough for a 2 star hotel. I don't want to mention the food or the table clothes or either the cousins of the chairs as they are just unacceptable. The staff is unprofessional and untrained, they spend there time playing with there mobile phone and they really don't care about ANYTHING. It is a shame because it is a beautiful place but they should tell you before you book that it is under construction. Don't get fooled by the beautiful photos and the huge discount !!! This hotel is definitely not a 4 star resort.

So far the best experience in our lives. We are still under the spell 7 months after our visit. I take contact with the hotel few weeks before to ask special request for a special occasion : the service in charge of the guest answered very quickly, politely and try to respond to every of our wishes. I don't remember have been treated so well in my life. We come on the D day without advice them, and I was really worry after few weeks of silence from me that the hotel forget us or our demands. Not at all ! After waiting only 1min they call us for the check despite the number of customers at the reception. They take the discretion to talk only with me about the price and the requests. They help us to join the room and let us enjoying our moment after explaining to us all the amenities of the room and the planning of the romantic activities (free) of the hotel. The room was surprisingly clean even if it's open on the nature and without any mosquito. The aircon works perfectly (I have an easy cold with aircons). The view is breathtaking, the room pool is hot, in the shadow, clean and too-chlorinated. We got all the benefits of the nature but not the inconveniences. No bugs, no ant, no wind, no dust. We can choose at what time we want to be wake up and we will take the breakfast (and they directly detail the menu if we have preferences). Then they let us in peace for the rest of the night. The bathroom offer hot and tempered water, and you forget something no need to panic, they give it all ! The day of arrival we go to see the fireflies (a lot of customers get the same idea so we patiently talked with the warm welcoming staff, waiting for the second departure). I do this kind of expedition a lot in Thailand, but never so enjoyable. The river is small, it's very quiet, and there is a lot of firefly very close to us during the trip. Even the boar's motor is not deafening like usually. On the second day before a late check out with authorisation we take one of the self-service canoe to explore the river then to join the beach (very close). The check out was very fast (5 min). Plus : at the arrival we ask for renting a bike. The hotel can provide it directly with the helmets for a cheap price. So we ate outside. It was a perfect stay and we think about coming back (that's sure) maybe to celebrate here our futur wedding. Thank you again !!

We stayed in Aana resort for 16 nights in January. Worst hotel experience in Thailand!( we have been traveling there for 20 years)! The hotel is under renovation! We had workers and banging and drilling in the front of our balcony all day long! There is rubbish everywhere! There is no restaurant ! The breakfast is very very poor and served in a pool bar with no shade, more than dirty tablecloths and staff who don’t know there jobs and playing with their cellphones!! The management of this hotel is a disaster!! When we asked to see the director,in order to complain about all this,he refused and the person we talked to instead, proposed to offer as a dinner as compensation!!! We felt we have been cheated!! This is definitely not a 4 star hotel and does not worth the 90 € per night we payed!!!

A beautiful, jungle style resort next to the river sounded a great place to relax and unwind from the work stress on a holiday. Well, it could be. When we got to the hotel, the manager told us, that they are doing a little construction work. That will cause some noise, only little, she said, not much. WARNING: for your own good, check the situation before booking! I found out that they been doing renovation works since 2016 so it looks pretty ongoing thing to me. At first, we demanded to change a room as our bungalow was straight above the construction and instead of looking at the river, as seen in pictures, you could watch men building a restaurant – which was out of use at the moment. So was the other pool, we were told. First morning we got woken up on varied soundtrack of construction sounds; trilling, banging, sawing etc. It was played from the all directions, all day till 6 pm. We were told to go to beach for a day, and sure this was a good reason to explore an island with a scooter but attempts such as taking nap in our room or relaxing on our terrace with a plunge pool were only causing a serious frustration. The other really annoying thing was that as the restaurant was closed, a breakfast was served in a sterile conference room with no windows. If you weren’t lucky enough to catch one of the four tables outside, you would sit there waiting someone to start a bad presentation in any minute. Breakfast itself was ok (not more than that), but there were four trainees staring at you when you poured yourself a cup of coffee. This tells a lot about Aana. Setting itself is beautiful and the place has potential, if only the management would care more about their customers. The staff seems very untrained and out of place. (When changing room, we had to carry our luggage ourselves as they send us two little girls to help and they weighted about the same than our luggage!) Klong Prao beach is a great location but I would definitely look elsewhere to stay. I would look a place that has straight access to beach. Staying at Aana you can only get to the beach 8am-6pm (or you need a scooter or other transport or you have to take about 1,5 km walk) as there is no straight access other than from the river.

arrived before Christmas 2019, the resort is a more or less a construction site with typical construction noise. if you want to enjoy vacation in an silent environment than this is not the place to go. we decided to leave the the resort and move to another hotel . in addition we are will take legal action now not only for a 100% refund but also sue the resort for damages.
