The resort is accessed from the main road via 500m of narrow paved road. Welcome was lovely and the resort has an open feel with beautiful paths (lit very tastefully) in the evening. Our bungalow was set back from the pool area, fully detached with windows on all sides. Step down into the sunken bath for a luxury dip. The room is well appointed with mini bar and safe. Bags for the beach with towels. When arranging our onward journey to a nearby hotel the staff were very helpful and asked no charge for the trip. All together a delightful stay.

This hotel is family friendly despite its size. The staff, led by Reoum, ensured that there was never anything left to be desired. Our family had 3 bungalows, large and nice, somewhat worn but completely fresh. However, there were plenty of ants in the bathrooms in all 3 rooms. Good breakfast with good variety. sunbeds are available so it is enough at a good shallow beach

The setting is stunning and we found ourselves at the pool or beach every day for unbelievable sunsets. The staff are friendly, helpful, and well trained. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are very nice, with a garden shower. Unfortunately, not a comfortable chair to be found if one would like to sit and read.

This is some kind of disaster and not a hotel. Everything in the reviews is beautiful, but... just as a theater begins with a coat rack, a hotel begins with the reception. There is just a canopy, a table, a computer and a sofa. OK. We spent a long time choosing between two hotels on Chang, and decided to simply divide: half the time in one, half here. Barali was second. They took us to our room; the room was behind the reception shed, next to the boiler room/generator or something else rumbling. We didn't even go into the bungalow. The second proposed room was... there, on the other side of the bowling room. The third room that was offered to us (but not for 4 nights, but for 3, with subsequent relocation) was already in the center, but firstly, there was a strong chemical smell in the room, apparently after treatment or something else, which we could not remove for a 2 hour walk leaving the windows open. And secondly, all these bungalows are double, and the room has a door to the neighbors. And the neighbors turned out to be two men. Judging by the photo of the hotel there are a lot of newlyweds there... So the prospects were bleak. The hotel itself is in the jungle, of course it’s cool, but only the central path has been removed. The paths to the bungalows are covered with leaves close to each other. Yes, wild nature, but the stench in the room and the homos... homosapiens outside the door forced us to grab our suitcases and return to the previous hotel, where we were gladly received. We managed to look around a little. The width of the hotel area is quite narrow, the bulk of the bungalows are far from the sea and the dining room. The beach... well, so-so, but again, it’s a very narrow section, and to get from the beach to the bungalows you need to go through the pool. They flatly refused to return the money. I called booking: ours didn’t answer, in the London office they told me that they no longer support Russian-speaking tourists. I wrote it in the application - no one read it. I returned home, called the Moscow office, and argued that if the hotel description had indicated that the rooms were next to the boiler and the rooms stank, I would not have booked. In general, I was able to get a refund, but not for 4 but for 3 nights. Moreover, it was not the hotel that returned the money, but booking.
No, we didn’t let our vacation be ruined! We spent the remaining 4 days wonderfully in the previous hotel where we returned!

We stayed here for 6 nights.
Good points: spacious rooms, lovely setting within the garden, right at the beach, friendly staff.
Points for improvement: breakfast is ok, only sugar yoghurt is served unfortunately no muesli is served, the whole premises needs maintenance, the deck at the beach definitely needs attention.
Next door via the beach there are some lovely restaurants to have lunch or dinner.

Resort was nice but not specially memorable. Breakfast was quite basic, staff very friendly. Pool in need of better cleaning. Goof location close to village and straight on a beach. Sea not good for swimming (march) because water shallow all the time. Beach shore good for walking and clean.

Stunningly beautiful place, but had a bad experience with the receptionist and the room. We booked a sea view villa and it was not worth it - worn out and the check in experience was bad. It seems we unfortunately had a bad luck with this place or something. Was not wort the price we payed, would probably been much happier if my expectations would have been of 2,5-3 star hotel. Breakfast with the incredible views and exceptional selection was worth 4+ stars.

Lovely rooms and location with a nice clean beach. The staff as per usual in Thailand friendly and keen to please a true asset. However it appeared there at the time start of the high season new staff or trainees so a few issues with knowledge and skills.

Here and there a little maintenance required on the decking areas I think being independent and having a few lean years in Thailand owing to lack of tourism cash flow may of been an issue I’m sure after a good season this will change as I could hear maintenance taking place

I would be more than happy to come back to this bit of unspoilt Thailand and this hotel.

We stayed here for six nights in October. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens. The pool is large. We ate at the restaurant a few times, which was lovely. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. I would’ve liked a wider choice of breakfast cereals, but that was the only downside. All in all, a beautiful hotel.

A beautiful resort on a relaively unspoilt beautiful Island. The resort is not too big and the bungalows are close to the pool and beach. We had a beach front one and thought it was well worth the extra.Lots of small resteraunts within walking distance, mostly very cheap. This is a quiet tranquil place and not suitable for teenagers.White Sands Beach a few miles away is very commercial but the rest of the island is not (yet). Its just magical so go before it is spoilt.

There are lots of restaurants around but I would say it's a long walk distance. If you enjoy walking it will be fine. Or else they can order a taxi for you.
