The hotel is not modern but looks like it has been well maintained. We love the pool a lot. The room is spacious with ok amenities. I think this one is locally owned so the standard of service and facility are not what we can expect from big chain hotel. For example, the amenities in the bathroom were very random and not the same brand each day. There was no friendly/smiley service from staff but they were not rude or anything, just not warm like what we would receive from other big hotels. Overall, the hotel is great value. The happy hour deal is a catch.

Everything as promised. The staff is polite and kind but thier understanding of spoken English is poor. If you have problems, the best is to write emai to reception. We had air condition problem and oral communication did not give any result. After email our room was changed for the rest of the stay and conditionig was under maintenance for couple of days. We stayed there January 2020

Simply unprofesional and incompetent for an overclaimed five-star hotel in terms of service standards. I booked it for two nights for my father on his birthday. Called them up from overseas to see if there is any small birthday surprise available for a 71 year old travelling alone. Shame on the front desk staff : The front desk PROMISED a complimentary birthday cake prepared in his room before he checked in. Yet there was no cake at all. I had to make another long distance call to further inquire, they still insisted they did put one in his room. Eventually I had to ask them to send someone up to look for the cake in his room, that was the time when they sent it up.. I fully understand birthday surprises are only subject to discretion. I WOULD NOT MIND AT ALL if they decline it in the first place. But if it has been PROMISED, do it right, not in a way that the birthday guy had to do a cake hunt in the room for a birthday surprise.. Shame on the management staff : After such an embarrassment made to their failing level of professionalism over an avoidable mistake, they moved my father to another room with just a twin bed two days later.. First, I am aware of the policy that a double bed was merely a special request upon an extended stay, yet with a handful of guests visible throughout the week in still the pandemic time, was it REALLY fully booked enough to run out of just ONE double bed ? Second, the management should have applied the service recovery concept (if available, like a double bed..) to this guest with whom their own front desk staff had ALREADY embarrassed the hotel over a minor PROMISE that was under delivered with their lack of basic competence in simply delivering one cake. Not only this hotel failed at managing customer satisfaction, they failed even worse at restoring it after their own fault. I will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone with an occasion to celebrate. The depth of their professionalism is only limited to checking guests in and out, with a smile.

Very nice resort and location right on the beach, ocean facing room on 3rd floor is huge with an amazing view and bed is comfy. Breakfast is delicious, although there's not a lot of variety (understandable during pandemic season). The ground and the pool area are huge and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. Staff are friendly and helpful.

If you're a swimmer, you're going to love the pool. It is at least olympic size, and the water is crystal clear. I never enjoyed doing my laps so much. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the room was very comfortable. Due to covid, there was no breakfast buffet, but the daily breakfast was excellent. The is a koi pond that runs around the whole property and it is full of beautiful fish. The staff was very helpful. Down the street is an excellent Thai restaurant, Ko's Kitchen. I recommend it. Wifi was excellent. 7/11, laundry, and pharmacy right nearby If you need a white sand beach for sunbathing this may not be the place. The beach is only really exposed at low tide. However, you can snorkel. You'll see some fish and some urchins. Anyway, being a pool person, I absolutely loved my ten day stay.

At first we were checked in to a room with water damage. After maintenance found a broken water pipe in the room above, we were moved, but to a smaller room. Finally, we were moved to a room of similar size to the original booking. We had booked garden view, but why stick to an outdated price policy and leave all the sea-view room empty? With only a handful of guests, why no spoil the few guests that actually arrive? Breakfast was average at best. Bacon was quickly zapped in the microwave right in front of you. The use some beaten up kayaks, the resort charges 100 baht/ hour. Most other resorts let guests use "toys" like this for free.

reception makes me waiting 1 and half hour for check-in. reason is something mistake from booking agency. i booked to trip.com for ocean view room. but hotel reception said she got a booking to normal view room.(but she gave me car parking view room). i showed my confirmation mail to her. she said try to ask agency. but normally. she have to make me check-in first and try to solve with their agency. becoz this is not customer's mistake. i will claim to hotel manager too. i will claim to fuxxing trip.com too

Four star hotel, Not!!! Marginally meeting 2 star standards, Front desk personnel and management are terrible. They were everywhere else except their position. The grounds are not being kept up and they still want top dollar for the rooms (we stayed in a deluxe ocean view in the premium wing). I would have had no issue at all if the quality of service, meals and grounds met the price being charged. We stayed three days without air conditioning and without a working elevator. My wife and I carried our bags up three floors. The elevator was fixed on the last day and our air conditioner was never fixed. One morning we arrived at breakfast and noticed the front desk manager and a colleague eating with the guests and do not even acknowledge our presence (so unprofessional and rude). The hotel is on the beach however the beach is eroded and cement is everywhere even in front of the villas (not good). Covid 19 precautions were not existed. The Spa was closed. Drinks are expensive. Bottom line: Recommend find another hotel until current management gets their act together and maintain upkeep of the grounds.

We booked this hotel for a 15days- holiday in March 2020. Before our holiday started we read here on Tripadvisor that disturbing construction works are taking place in the site next to this hotel. We checked with The Emerald, and they confirmed this. However, we wanted a quiet holiday, without disturbing noises, dust and nuisance. We wanted to cancel our stay in this hotel. The Emerald confirmed our cancellation request by email and confirmed that they were going to refund our full stay (4 rooms = + - 8000 EUR). They say the would refund this amount within 1 month. However, many emails and 4 months later we hear nothing anymore from this hotel and we still have not received this refund. They don't even respond to the communication of our Thai lawyer. This is simply outrageous! And deceptive! We want to warn everyone, beware when you book this hotel! They do not communicate honestly about the works and are not honest in their communication and handling. A shame for such a hotel!
