This property is at Lonely beach. This resort has spacious area. They have amazing dinning area which is on the beach side. Staff was very friendly. Good food at reasonable rate. Breakfast was awesome. Beach is just in front of the room. Beach is very clean and nicely maintained by staff. Most recommend...!!!
It was kind of a last minute decision for us to visit Koh Chang while in Thailand and due to that we had limited availability in hotels and ended up in one of the older buildings at Siam Beach Resort , which could've done with some refurb I've got to say.. especially the bathroom. Most of the apartments looked nice to be fair, probably after renovation.. but anyway. The surroundings however did compensate us for everything. The sea is literally a few steps away from the rooms, the hotel is very relaxed, quiet.. it's like a little paradise on Earth.. made us nearly completely forget about the state of the bathroom, and the gross toilet seat in particular. 😁 I'd love to stay here again, in one of the renovated apartments.
Good value for money. Beach hard to beat. Almost no surf, perfect sand. On the very end of Lonely Beach, meaning the party is pretty far away and you can sleep at night. Very popular with Russian couples. Included breakfast pretty basic. Room fine for price. Staff friendly. Only problem: lousy WiFi, which in this day and age I consider to be as much a given as clean sheets. Had to spend more time than I’d like in the lobby, where the WiFi functioned.
Internet / wifi is so slow that its useless. No speed at all ! Breakfast is okey. Terrible security, one man sleeping all night LOL. No late check in, so when we arrived later, key was on the desk, but almost impossible to find the room, because its no lights here, and no direction signs to the different bulidings
I stayed 2 nights in this resort in november 2019. I payed 2700 THB a night. Overall impression: outdated, old, no atmosphere. Beach not so beautiful. Cheap impression again. Room big but again outdated. Bathroom old, no real good hot water. Safe did not work. Aircon was good and also the room was large. Sea view was good, you hear the sea at 50 m distance. Quiet day time and night time. Room had balcony facing the sea but no good chairs to sit on. Breakfast was ok. Parking was available. The best thing was that the hotel was only a few minutes per car/motorbike of the lonely beach bars and discos. Too far away to hear the music. The price I paid was too much for what I got. Next time I try something else on koh chang.
We booked for a pool view beachfront bungalow but since there was a storm prior to our arrival, we didn't get the room we wanted. But it was alright coz we still get to stay in a room with a view of the beach. We stayed for 2 nights just to try the Lonely beach area in Koh Chang. It was a good decision coz we enjoyed the morning beach walk when it was low tide. The resort has a long stretch of sand for you to walk on and enjoy looking at the horizon. There was a family of monkeys who like to lounge in the balconies especially in the morning so don't forget to keep all of your food especially bananas, inside the room. The room is big with basic toiletries but the bed is too hard for me. It also looks run-down and needs to be refurbished. The menu has a variety of choices and the food is tasty but the breakfast buffet is the same every day. Though I would still recommend this hotel if you want to wake up staring at the beach and likes to swim any time of the day coz the water is not getting higher too much unlike in the other beaches of the island. …
Beautiful peaceful beach, I stayed in the hotel next to bungalows, it was in need of the bathrooms to be finished with some tiling but the location was perfect with a relaxing atmosphere, Lots of wildlife but Don't feed the monkey's because you can get fined for this
We stay here in april. We booked the small villa with the swimming pool. The photos on the web are quite old, now the buildings and the fornitures are suffering the time passing. I attached some photos to show how the conditions really are. The bathroom as a sort of "window" but it's not, that has a slot, impossible to close, opening on the outside. Wanted the case that our accomodation was the last in the row and then only the jungle, so one night we found that our bathroom was the night nest of a Tokay Geko. Very nice (30 cm long) animal indeed but when by change, above your head, you cross the eyes with him during the shower, your heart collapse and then the shower won't be the same again. But maybe in the end it was funny and adventurous if you don't mind his night love's call; in the following days we rarely met him, just his head (ping pong ball size) popping out of a squared aluminum tube inside the bathroom, where he probably dwelled (photos attached) The staff almost don't speak english; I wonder how they can run an economical activity…
Positives first; this hotel is on a great beach has a good pool & serves a reasonable breakfast. Where to start with the negatives? Some of staff are friendly, but most are sour faced. The level of cleaning and maintenance throughout the resort is sub-standard, and the bedrooms & public areas are in need of a complete refurbishment. Our bedroom (B101) would have had a sea view, but for an ugly disused shack on the beach blocking the view, and for most of the day, during the Songkran holiday, we were subjected to construction noise right next to us. Very disappointing.
rooms at this resort are dreadful - bathroom, no towel shelf or hanging racks, towels sit on the floor, sink water runs brown, no hot water for shaving. No closet, bureau or night tables - suitcases, belongings on the floor. Staff not helpful. Beach is stony, at high tide you cannot walk far. This is an old, tired hotel. smokers don't keep to the smoking area
