We were invited as resource speakers at the Annual Program Implementation Review of the Regional Epidemiolgy and Surveillance Unit of the Department of Health Regional Office IX. We stayed there for a week and the experience was fantastic. It has a simple but elegant design that projects the city's Spanish heritage. The room was ok exept for the window view... More

I have nothing to say when it comes to their rooms. The room given to me is clean and the location is peaceful. But maybe the service is quite annoying. I stayed for for four nights. In the morning after my first night, I asked a guy from housekeeping who is cleaning the other room while watching NBA finals to... More

I stay in Grand Astoria whenever I'm in Zamboanga mainly because of it's location and function rooms. It's centrally located in one of the main roads and one can easily get a tricycle or walk around to eat or buy things. There is a Chinese restaurant right beside the hotel which specializes in Abalone. The hotel has a new tower... More

This is where me and my family always stays. It is one of the older hotels though they recelty bought and renovated the building beside it, now called Astoria 2. I have stayed on both and last time I brought visitors and they were initially worried but when we got there they were impressed. It is not cheap but also... More

Asked for an upgrade and we got it without a problem. The room we got was big (can probably fit 3-4 extra beds.), bed sheets are soft and can be replaced every day along with fresh towels. Heated water is available, and there's a water dispenser right outside the room. The cons: A few (1-4) would hsow up in the... More

Stayed here with my mom October 1,2015, got a standard room with 2 twin beds. The staff are friendly & nice. The room however had this stale odor, like a place that's been uninhabited/uncleaned for quite some time.Saw little cockroaches on the corner wall. The TV has only 2 channels-ABS CBN & GMA.The phone doesn't work,no dial tone. You can connect to the internet... I stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. The room is clean. The staffs are kind. They just need to improve their wifi connection. If you have a trip to Zamboanga, Astoria is a great place to stay! ☺ Overall the stay was satisfactory! 👍👍👍

This hotel is not the biggest or newest in the city but it is the most convenient and practical. Food at the Chinese restaurant at the ground floor is good (try the fried mushrooms). The new tower which is just adjacent to the old building has very good rooms. The hotel was fully booked the last time I stayed so... More

The conference room is conducive for both learning and workshop. It is equipped with good sound system, and the space is big. Customer service is good, and facilities are at par with high-end hotels. it hass a good parking space.

I stayed in the hotel for a couple of days during a business trip. The room was clean and the staff personnel were polite. The hotel was in the middle of the city so I had no problem strolling down the streets looking for an open bakery or grocery store at night. A big issue I had was that there... More
