We spent a night in a ground floor room here in August 2009. The room was average. The lawn outside was very nice. Long corridors and tolerable restaurant food. The room was airconditioned. Bedding was average. Short stay.

We booked two super deluxe rooms in this hotel on 18th May 2016.It was a horrible experience.Rooms are ,no doubt, spacious and had basic facilities. However water coolers were placed in the Windows. It did not cool the rooms and produced such loud noise that we had to switch it off .Hotel building was imposing. Restaurant good ,service was not up... More

This is a nice place to stay in Rishikesh which is away from the noise and crowd. The rooms are clean and the front lawn is nice to spend some time. Parking is not an issue as there is plenty of space for the same.

Not a typical place for a foreigner but partner Indian . Good room service , excellent food , pleasant gardens . Very far from Ganges . A long rickshaw ride . Peaceful . Somewhat ugly building . Reminded me of a soviet hotel . We stayed nights and travelled every day to Ganga for puja and walks . Ok it... More

Good Place, Spacious rooms with A/C, friendly and helpful staff. Good Veg food. Ample parking. I was travelling with my 6 month old, needed water and some food to be cooked and pureed, the staff helped us a lot. Thumbs Up ! for that. Great location, Good huts, Decent food, Friendly staff. A 2 day stay made awesome by all of the above, and a lot of rainfall! It's a pretty nice place located within the Chilla National Park- located besides a huge hydro-power dam. The entry/exit to/from the forest closes at 7:30PM sharp, and so post this time, there is absolutely no noise... More

The location is a little far from the main market. Took us a while finding it as we were asking for GMVN bungalow but we didnt know its known as Bharat Bhumi complex. That apart the place is huge with maybe around 40-50 rooms. The deluxe room was a bargain for Rs 840. The room was quiet big. The staff... More

You are always safe staying at the GMVNs (Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam). They are government run establishments, so the locations are always very good and the price is fair, even though the service is usually terrible. Other highly recommended GMVNs in the area, which are not listed on TripAdvisor include, Rudra Prayag, Uttar Kashi and Gangotri. They have the best... More

Very spacious building and built just away from the crowd of the main town. Lovely view of the mountains from the terrace. Though we only had coffee/tea in the restaurant, it felt very welcome. The rooms are sufficiently comfortable and we had two good nights rest there after weary days. 10 minutes away from the place of Ganga snaan and... More

“economy room, book online, on gmvn web site, they only take american express card, so you must have, and make sure to bring a copy of your reservation ...do not expect them to have one....higher floors are warmer and yet sunnier...I like morning sun rather than evening... dormitories have multiple overhead fans...coolest rooms are ground floor of course”
