Nestled on a picturesque beachfront, guests enjoy its prime location and the array of amenities, including a beautiful pool, spa, and dining with views. Amazing hotel! Intimate, cosy and nestled in to the natural beauty that surrounds Tamarin bay. The hotel boasts wonderful views of Tamarin Trouvelle and is right on the beach. It's very quite and tranquil and the sunsets are world class! You can hear the ocean from your room, the beach is kept feeling private and safe by security keeping a look out during the day. (So unlike Flic en Flac you don't have street vendors trying to sell you things) and the beach feels like your own. Kept very clean by staff also.
When we arrived at 10:30am our room wasn't ready and we were offered use of the spa to freshen up and change, which was greatly appreciated after a 6,500 mile trip. They also let us keep our room until our evening flight at no extra cost.
We have felt well looked after by the front of house and food and beverage teams. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was relaxed but timely. Nishal was particularly attentive and went the extra mile to make our holiday memorable- lovely guy! And great cocktails. All the staff always had a smile and were kind and welcoming.
The rooms are of pretty large proportions especially for the price and was very comfortable. The food was good. Breakfast had enough choice to keep us happy for 12 nights, the lunch menu extensive, dinner is in the form of a buffet and there's plenty of hot options. That's the only thing I could criticise about the hotel- no room service and no dinner menu but I suppose most guests stay all inclusive so it probably isn't worth creating an evening menu...?
Entertainment on Friday and Saturday evening was lovely! Every night in such a small cosy hotel would of put me off.
The location worked for us but if you're not hiring a car somewhere with more local amenities would probably be more suitable.
Stunning location, so peaceful and ambient, staff are a credit to the hotel, I'd call it a glinting gem on this fantastic island! Loved it and we'll be visiting again for sure. Thanks Tamarina!

‘Sublime’ describes, perfectly, our stay at this fabulous beach hotel and spa. The moment we were greeted by Andesi with such sincerity and enthusiasm we knew we were in safe hands. The location and presentation of the hotel is perfect for those looking for a stunning setting with an unique vibe. Prior to our visit we had viewed videos and photos but we feel as good as they are on the Internet, nothing prepares you for the spectacular view of the beach and pool you receive as you walk through the well tended gardens and arrive at the bar and restaurant terrace.

Every member of staff, without exception, provided us with a complete sense of personal attention. Polite, efficient yet discreet service presented with sincerity and enthusiasm made us feel that everyone was proud to be associated with the hotel.

Our room was a spacious first floor apartment with large balcony enjoying stunning pool and ocean views. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard, replenishing any item without fail. Bed was extremely comfortable. Gardens and beach were tended daily with a friendly team, always happy to pass the time of day.

The dining facilities were exceptional ( we were half board ). The staff were exceptionally professional and attentive, always happy to help and spend time ensuring you received everything you required. Breakfast, buffet style, was a splendid array of fruit, cereal, cold meats, pastries or cooked ( full English/ Mauritian) with eggs cooked to order.

Lunch was a lovely varied menu and dinner was a comprehensive of a three course buffet of many varieties of delicious food. We spent 12 nights at this wonderful retreat and did not have any repeat meals during our entire stay, most impressive!!

We had a wonderful massage (very attentive and relaxing) in the splendid spa facility. Our tour of the adjoining golf course, where you could play and/or enjoy a breakfast or lunch in the colonial style clubhouse was very appealing.

The hotel also owns the nearby Casela World of Adventure which provides an insight into many varieties of animals.

Special mention to both Pravesh and Infann who together with the rest of the team played a major part in ensuring the smooth running of the beach/poolside bar and restaurant. The level of service is something the Tamarina are clearly very proud to showcase.

Our stay in Mauritius has ‘raised the bar’ and we would strongly recommend you select this fabulous hotel, you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you Tamarina you are a ‘tropical gem’

Long may you succeed!

Best wishes

Jon & Diana ( Grant )

Based on one of the last few wild white sand beachs in Mauritius, this hotel offers direct beautifull sea view balconys, warm and smiling reception team, and an exceptional creole flavor cook.
Plus, of course, if you like it, a situation very close to the Tamarina golf club, including a shuttle bus to join it. This golf is among the 3 best beautifulls courses on the island. (I played them all).
Hard to ask more from a four stars hotel.
I practiced this one many times thru the years, direction changed few years ago, but unique charm is still there.

Been for one night stay in Tamarina Golf on 01jan-02jam 2021 Room121. Check in at 20hrs. Room was spacious and clean but no hot water to shower. Called the reception more than 4 times by dialling 9. Complained about the water and we were told that Maintenance are working on this issue and if we can shower in the spa. Would be better if reception could informed us the water issue before giving us the room. went dinner and all table were taken, so we were given a drink meanwhile until we get a table.. waited for more than 35mins and they forgot us and guest who came after us were already seated and having their dinner.. Buffet were almost empty and not replaced. we had to ask the chef and he organised for it..Thank you chef. while heading for dessert there were nothing as they removed everythng without even considered that there were guest stil having their dinner. But again thanks to the chef who offered us an ice cream which was very well presented and i enjoyed it. Heading in our room we noticed water issue was still there and they refused to move our rooms by saying hotel is fully booked. And this same person, earlier he told me that the hotel is only 60% occupancy. Which clearly mean there are more empty rooms. The next morning water was still an issue. My partner had his shower even in cold water but wen i enter the shower, there were not even a drop of water coming.. So again nobody bother to call the guests and informed them that they will cut the supply of water. Once in the restaurant for breakfast, again there we waited 25 mins just for an omelette . We could not even take another food to eat as many guest was standing all around the table waiting for their eggs. Once you get your food and started eating, u find a waiter coming to say the buffet will be closed in 15mins. Asked 2 people in the restaurant if they can refill some more papaya, but i kept on waiting.. I called the hotel receptions before my check in that i wanted to surprise my parter with a birthday cake during our breakfast. Mr Warren said to me that there is already a note for that, but me i was only double checking it. And at my big surprised the cake never came to my table during my breakfast.. Instead of giving him a surprised birthday cake, i was left surprised myself. Really disappointed. It was my first stay in Tamaraina Golf but its my last stay as well. I didn't complained for the birthday cake because i was enough of staying there and wanted to checkout sooner posible.

This is the best place in Mauritius, staff is extremely kind, food is great, location is also cool when you would like to visit the whole island as it’s near the chamarel etc., but it’s also not that far to the north. Staff was so kind that they organized for us a room to take a shower before the flight, even though our all inclusive package expired 6 hours back then, additionally we could have eaten a lunch even after our package expired. Totally recommended!!!

This place is quiet and if that’s what you want it’s ideal, we spent seven nights here and found it an ideal location for exploring this beautiful and less developed end of the island. The staff are very friendly and helpful the accommodation clean and spacious with the rooms being made up regularly. The pools are great to cool down in and there are plenty of different locations around the hotel to relax and chill out. There is nothing going on here accept the ocean and forest (alive with interesting sounds) we encountered monkeys venturing out of the trees, also amazing fruit bats and birds are ever present… This is a great place to relax and re-charge, you will need a car to explore and there are a number of interesting location within easy driving distance. Overall a great stay. Only criticism is the food this is not an exciting culinary experience, basic but reason-ably good. Overall we would recommend it.

Booked a day package with colleagues around 10 persons and the lady at reception desk was welcoming and nice.
Don’t remember her name though and check in was quick as other colleagues were there and accompanied us till the restaurant
Hotel is rather small and this is our second visit after 10 years and not much has changed.
Took our drink from bar and chilled with colleagues. We are mainly non alcoholic drinkers
Kids activities are very limited as there are no kids club and beach toy only one :)
There are no kids pool so parents need to be cautious
For lunch very limited variety of food and quality is rather cheap.
Kids got absolutely no choice for their food and when asked waitress what could kids eat I was proposed samoussa and cold sandwich
I asked her if any possibility of making pasta and Sausage and the chef agreed.
However, it was not my duty to ask what can be proposed but it was to hotel staff
Bar service is slow but the people working there are welcoming and will bring the drinks for you.
Tea time only pancakes are served but still we were told 2 pancakes per people while most of us took only one piece or some did not even take. I believe this is not the approach to tell client on AI basis the quota
The hotel I think take care of strays and this is a plus point if that’s the case and I would encourage this.
I would rather give a 3 star rating to this hotel and categorised as 3 stat hotel.
To avoid food waste, the hotel should propose 3 course menu to client which is better than buffet
Bring some smile to the faces of your employees as most seems tired.
No hot water available in changing room and not so clean
Thanks
Anusha

Our 2 night stay at Tamarina was pleasant. We enjoyed our break away from the hustle bustle of city life.

The rooms were well maintained and well equipped in terms of toiletries, coffee capsules, towels etc. We were upgraded from a sea view room to a beach front room. This room was fantastic - waking up to the sound of waves crashing is awesome! Thanks Prateebha for the upgrade and for a seamless booking process!

Buffet was not too varied. But nevertheless, we ate to our full everyday. Little one was well catered to - we requested for pasta for him and this request was happily acceded to. Thanks to the chefs for and for his ice cream also!

Staff are courteous and friendly. They are willing to go the extra mile to make customers happy.

Overall, we had a nice staycation at Tamarina Hotel.

The hotel its ambience is nice and one is very warmly welcomed. The staff is always very engaged and friendly, especially the hotel Manager is very dedicated that nothing is missing.
Food is delicious with a lot of variaties, so as the various options for drinks (maybe ask for less sweet though☺️).
The hotel is rather quiet also because of its location, but we had great encounters with other guests.
Depending on the tide it is easy to cross the river and walk to Tamarin (10 Mins), where grocery stores, street food, restaurants, a diving/ kayak station and bus stations can be found. Walking north from Tamarina hotel, there is a path through the forrest (about 10 Mins) to reach the next beach. If desired one can walk up to Flic en Flac which takes about 90 Mins.
I hope this information will be provided by the Hotel in future 😉
Shuttle services to a shopping mall is provided once a day, and at several times to the golf courts.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay, met lovely people (including the Tamarina staff) and enjoyed every moment!
Thank you Tamarina

The location of this hotel is just beautiful. From the moment we arrived and were shown to our room we felt welcomed and relaxed.
The rooms are spacious and kept perfectly clean. Our leaky shower door was fixed within 10 minutes of telling the staff about it.
The pool areas are beautiful and Irfaan is there to attend to your every need, he works tirelessly every day and is a real asset.
The staff are all amazing and there wasn’t one person who didn’t appear to love working at this hotel.
The food was plentiful and varied and as a vegetarian I certainly didn’t struggle to find enough to eat! I was there for my birthday and my husband and I were cooked a special meal, given a rum drink each and a chocolate cake which was one of the nicest things I’ve ever eaten!

A beautiful island, a beautiful hotel with amazing staff. We came home saying it was the best holiday we have ever had.

Thank you Tamarina <3

Hi, Honestly I didn't pay attention to the iron as we didn't need it. But am sure it will be certainly available on request if its not there :)

I’d recommend hiring a car as it could become quite expensive taking taxis everywhere and the closest small town is Tamarin which you can reach via a beach walk & small water crossing. We hired a car when we stayed here and it was cheap and easy, the roads are fine to drive on, and the signs are all in English
