We returned this year again for our anniversary. This time we stayed in an upstairs room. We liked that slightly better. Sit out on the balcony. Take time to just sit around the entire property. The breakfast was good every morning. Everything they served was first rate. They also have great ideas for local excursions.

Many of the reviews have amused me, and owner/managers Leslie and Rafi's spirited responses are well worth the time it takes to read them. People, you come to the mountains to relax, so please do so. If the level of service at the Mark Addy is lower than you are used to, then please register your own home as a... More

The inn is charming! The view from the front porch is amazing. The room was quiet comfortable and the porch for morning and evening drinks was relaxing. The food is wonderful! I hope we can come back soon.

Wife and I were in area for an extended weekend centered around a trail race (Bel Monte) and hiking. After our original place to stay fell through, we found the Mark Addy. The owners were gracious in accommodating us. We liked everything about this B&B and would stay with them again!

The owners are wonderful people, food is excellent! Charming place, beautiful setting, friendly atmosphere. We will book again this Fall and hit the wineries we missed, which are plenty. Can't wait to return!

The inn is totally charming. The grounds are beautiful with a gorgeous view of the countryside from the front porch. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I loved every minute of my stay. I am not likely to be back in the area, but if I am, I will certainly stay... More

My title summarizes much of this B and B, nestled in Rockfish Valley, VA which is fabulously beautiful in the spring. This old home, then school, then town building I believe, is now a B and B, and it excels in its ageiness--shaky plumbing, eerily creaky floor boards that are kind of fun, strange little door knobs, heating systems that... Thanks for your candid review, although there are a few boo boos....We were never a school or a town building. The house was built in stages from the early 1800's to 1910 and was owned by Thomas Jefferson's physician, Charles Everette. It stayed in the Everette family through the late 1960's and was frequented by Mr. Jefferson himself, back in... More

We stayed 2 nights at The Mark Addy. Leslie was so great, she was always available with advice and information. The breakfast in the morning was phenomenal, I didn't feel the need to eat lunch!! It's in a great location if you are looking for a wine/brew tour. We felt completely comfortable and happy during our stay. Thanks so much!!

Leslie and Rafi create a warm and welcoming environment that sets the tone for a relaxing weekend (or weekday). We stayed with them on a Sunday-Tuesday stay, which made the experience much more personal. From what I understand, they are packed during the weekends, but during the week it slows down a bit and gives you the opportunity to get... More
