Everything was beyond perfect! My wife has restrictive dietary needs (gluten and dairy free) and the owners (Rich and Mary) catered to her needs and the food was AMAZING! So tasty and if you were not told that it was gluten free you would never know. The room was quiet, comfortable with a dreamy bed (Rich told me that they researched the mattresses, pillows and linens to find the perfect sleep experience and they knocked it out of the park! What great sleep we had). If you are an animal lover, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Horses, donkeys, chickens, turkeys and a beautiful peacock all here along with Lilly the German Shepherd 🐕😊
I cannot say enough great things about this lovely B&B! To start, the location is very close and convenient to so many breweries, wineries, distilleries and bold rock cidery too! The inn itself is stunning! From the beautiful mountain views, watching the horses grazing in the field, listening to the birds singing and burbling of the creek surrounding the house- it was all so relaxing and tranquil. The inn was so gorgeous and cozy, and the beds-AMAZING! We were served a huge, delicious, homemade breakfast in the morning that was completely glutean free. The innkeepers Rich, Mary and their beautiful dog Lily were so kind and hospitable! They made us feel right at home! My husband and I are looking forward to coming back very soon! Highly recommend for a nice, relaxing getaway!!
First we were greeted on the driveway the concierge, a sweet German Shepherd named Lily. That's practically enough for a 5-star rating from me, but I'll go on. Our reservations were made by a friend that forgot to mention my wife and I were vegan. Mary and Rich were happy to make a change to the breakfast menu and went WAY above and beyond, creating some absolutely delicious meals for us over the weekend. We were blown away by their hospitality, the lovely grounds, and the animals on the property we could say hello to every day. We are going to make a pint of coming back one, hopefully sooner rather than later!
Where to start!? We were traveling through the area and looking for a place to stay, and found Richard and Marys Country Inn. After a very simple and user friendly reservation online we received a confirmation and even a phone call from Mary letting us know where to park and to ask if we had any dietary requirements. Upon arrival we were met by Richard and taken on a tour of their incredible property. The Inn has been meticulously decorated and each room has its own theme. After settling in, we (with Richards recommendation) drove to The Devils Backbone Brewery for some dinner and beers. Fantastic brewery and delicious food. Then there was the beds! You might be ruined for life if you sleep here; we have never slept in a more comfortable bed, with sheets and pillows that feel…
We stayed at the Nellysford Country Inn for a sister weekend getaway. Our innkeepers were the perfect hosts! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Enjoyed visiting with the other guests, but never felt pressured to do that. The grounds are beautiful and our dear Lilly, the greeter German Shepherd was the best. Thank you!
Our trip was fantastic. Could not have asked for better hospitality from our hosts. Would highly recommend this home, the hosts, the area. We are looking forward to our next adventure in this area and will be staying here again.
Excellent accommodations, breakfast, snacks and chocolate chips. Very comfortable beds and ambiance. Breakfast was amazing. Hosts are amazing folks! Outdoors is a beautiful fever running past this ama omg property. Must visit, we plan to return!
The Inn was very charming with outstanding decor and a bed you'll never want to get out of! Breakfast was a culinary delight and the innkeepers, Mary and Rich, could not have been more accommodating if they tried.
Lovely location in the heart of wine country and the hosts were lovely too, very friendly welcoming. Great Breakfasts! The best beds you can find anywhere.A couple of minor items: the art in the bedroom was a little odd and mismatched and the house air conditioning was so cold we had to turn on the heating thermostat at night, but other than that it was a very nice stay.
This bed and breakfast is beautifully designed with wonderful antiques and a great surrounding property with beautiful views. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. The breakfast was delicious.
